Position Details:The Workforce Communications & Engagement Manager is responsible for leading the Office of Workforce Enablement's workforce communications strategy to inform, engage, and enable employees across the enterprise.
Reporting to the Senior Executive Director, Transformation and Workforce Enablement, this role transforms organizational priorities into clear, compelling communications that help employees understand the organization's direction, connect to its mission and culture, and confidently navigate new ways of working.
Serving as the operational leader for enterprise workforce communications, this position oversees the planning and execution of workforce communications, producing high-quality content, managing communication operations, and ensuring consistent, timely messaging across the organization. Communications within the Office of Workforce Enablement are a strategic capability that strengthens culture, builds organizational alignment, improves workforce readiness, and supports successful adoption of enterprise initiatives.
Responsibilities:- Lead the planning, development, and execution of enterprise workforce communications that support organizational priorities, workforce initiatives, and organizational change.
- Translate complex business priorities, initiatives, and changes into clear, meaningful, and actionable communications for employees and leaders across the organization.
- Develop communication strategies and integrated plans that build awareness, strengthen understanding, support workforce readiness, and help employees confidently adopt new processes, programs, and ways of working.
- Write, edit, and produce high-quality content across multiple channels, including employee emails, intranet content, executive messages, presentations, newsletters, toolkits, videos, and digital communications.
- Serve as a lead writer and editor for enterprise workforce communications, ensuring messaging is accurate, accessible, engaging, and consistent with organizational mission, values, culture, and strategic direction.
- Partner with executive and senior leaders to develop organization-wide communications, presentations, talking points, and messaging that help leaders communicate priorities authentically and effectively.
- Collaborate across the Office of Workforce Enablement and with enterprise partners to align communications with change enablement, learning, leadership development, culture, and other organizational initiatives.
- Develop communication campaigns and storytelling that strengthen organizational culture, increase employee engagement, highlight employee and organizational achievements, and connect employees to Merakey's mission and future direction.
- Manage the enterprise workforce communications calendar, coordinating priorities, timelines, approvals, and publishing activities to ensure communications are timely, coordinated, and appropriately sequenced.
- Establish and maintain editorial standards, messaging frameworks, templates, communication resources, and a central repository that support consistent and professional workforce communications.
- Manage multiple communication initiatives and requests simultaneously, balancing enterprise priorities while maintaining quality, responsiveness, and attention to detail.
- Identify opportunities to improve communication practices, channels, workflows, and employee reach, recommending creative approaches that strengthen engagement and communication effectiveness.
- Evaluate communication effectiveness and use employee feedback, engagement data, and other insights to continuously improve workforce communication strategies and approaches.

EducationBachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Marketing, or a related field required.
Experience- Five to eight years of progressive experience in internal communications, employee communications, corporate communications, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience writing for executive leaders and diverse employee audiences.
- Experience developing enterprise communication strategies and managing communication plans.
- Experience managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:- Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to translate complex topics into clear, concise, and engaging communications.
- Strong storytelling skills that connect employees to organizational purpose and strategy.
