Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
1. Preferably Workday HCM/Integration/Studio Certified
2. Strong experience in Workday Studio/Debug/API (Postman)/SSK
(Minimum 4 years or couple of implementations developing studios from scratch)
3. Strong experience in xslt 3.0 (streaming) - along with Oxygen or other tools (Minimum 3 years)
4. Workday Core Connectors with DIS, DT, EIB
5. Workday Reports with good understanding of data sources & business objects
6. Workday Integration Security/ Customer central
7. Workday PICOF/PECI
8. Good understanding of Workday configuration, Custom objects, Workday methodologies, feature releases, best practices etc.
9. Overall understanding of Workday HCM, Payroll, Recruiting, Time absence,
Talent/Performance modules with strong integration working knowledge of any 2
10. Experience in improving performances of studio integrations, following workday best practices
11. Any exposure to Workday Extend/Orchestrate will be a big plus
Roles & Responsibilities
The Workday Technical Studio & Integrations Consultant owns end-to-end delivery of Workday integrations, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support. The role requires strong expertise in Workday Studio, APIs, XSLT, and Core Connectors, along with deep understanding of Workday HCM modules, integration security, and performance optimization to enable seamless data exchange across enterprise systems.
Lead the full lifecycle of Workday integrations:
Assessment Design Build Test Deploy Support
• Develop integrations using:
Workday Studio (complex integrations developed from scratch)
EIB, Core Connectors (PICOF, PECI, etc.)
Document Transformation (DT), Data Integration Services (DIS)
• Build inbound and outbound integrations:
Workday 194 Third-party systems (Payroll, Benefits, Banking, Vendors)
• Ensure delivery of scalable, reusable, and performant integration solutions
• Adhere to scope, schedule, and quality standards
Design and develop complex integrations using Workday Studio
• Strong hands-on experience in:
Studio development, debugging, and deployment
Workday APIs (SOAP/REST) using tools like Postman
• Implement data orchestration including:
Extraction Transformation Load
• Configure integrations using:
SFTP, HTTP, REST, SOAP connectors
• Ensure robust error handling, logging, and monitoring
Perform complex data transformations using:
XSLT 3.0 (including streaming capabilities)
• Use tools such as:
Oxygen XML or equivalent
• Handle multi-format data transformations:
XML, JSON, CSV
• Optimize transformation logic for performance and scalability
Conve rt business requirements into:
Integration Design Documents (IDD)
Detailed data mapping documents
• Define optimal integration approach:
Studio vs EIB vs Core Connector
• Design solutions considering:
Data volumes, real-time vs batch, and system dependencies
• Follow Workday best practices and reusable design principles
Strong understanding of Workday modules:
HCM, Payroll, Recruiting, Time & Absence, Talent/Performance
• Hands-on integration experience in at least two modules
Salary Range: $85,000-$130,000 a year
