The Workday Absence and Time Tracking Principal Consultant will "bridge the gap" between the business and technical teams by solving complex Workday intersystem problems. They will guide clients through the transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday implementation. The Workday Absence and Time Tracking Principal Consultant will help others by driving, organizing and assigning tasks within a project workstream in order to drive efficient completion and achieve project goals, while reinforcing company policies and procedures to others.
Key Responsibilities: - Guide the client through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and an understanding of the client's unique business requirements at all stages of the project.
- Regularly engage and support the client through all phases of the project, ensuring a smooth transfer from legacy systems to the Workday HCM solution.
- Perform multiple tasks under limited direction, while regularly keeping the client, the project team and the Engagement Manager abreast of changes or progress related to the project.
- Willingness to take a leadership position on a project, or as a Cognizant or Workday product Partner Lead and/or Delivery Assurance Reviewer.
- Display your hands-on expertise of the software, including iLoading client data, moving configuration from tenant to tenant, and configuring business processes and security.
- Utilize your technical aptitude to convert and map data sources into data conversion templates via iLoads.
- Act as a mentor to fellow consultants and analysts, including providing support for shadow assignments.
- Actively participate in update training and internal opportunities to share one's skills and learnings with others within the organization.
- Additional duties as assigned by manager.
Skills and Requirements: - Bachelor's degree required or equivalent.
- Workday Certification in Absence and Time Tracking preferred.
- 2+ years of Workday functional implementation experience required in Absence, Time Tracking and Scheduling.
- 2-5 years implementing functional solutions with ERP or SaaS software required.
- Experience gathering business requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
- Demonstrated functional experience in Human Resources, Payroll, or Financials Management.
- Up to 25% of travel required
Salary and Other CompensationApplications will be accepted until 10/20/2026The annual salary for this position is between $106,171 USD - $159,257 USD depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program , based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
