Job SummaryThe Wiring Design Release Engineer is a key position responsible for designing and battery pack internal electrical connectivity systems for internal ABS and external customer products.
Responsibilities- Lead harness topology and partitioning.
- Package components and collaborate with other systems within the application.
- Optimize harness complexity across product lines to leverage standardization & modularity.
- Lead coding of all circuits.
- Complete electrical connectivity design for a batter system including Wire-list and DEF files for composite harness design, Load analysis.
- Review and anticipate voltage drop calculations circuit sizing.
- In-line connector pin count determination and circuit protection.
- Collaborate with Systems Engineers and BMS Hardware Engineers to ensure all internal and customer-specific requirements are met.
- Track and report on program progress to ensure requirements are met in a timely manner.
- Support pre-launch builds as well as product launches.

Position Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
- Minimum of four (4) years of wiring experience within the Automotive Industry.
- Experience designing & specifying wire harnesses, flexible printed circuits (FPC), and automotive low- and high-voltage connector systems.
- Understanding of design best practices for wire routings, fixations, shielding & grounding
- Understanding of common industry standards governing connector and wire harness design and manufacturing
- Ability to interface with connector, PDC, vehicle architecture, and systems engineers to manage all electrical aspects of the wiring design.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and oral communications.
