WEB APPLICATION DEVELOPER
Position Overview: Our world class Web Team working within the Marketing organization is responsible for designing and developing our entire global online presence, touching on every aspect of the business. As a member of Extron's Web team, you will work in a collaborative environment that values creative problem solving, open communication and diversity of thought.
In addition to working on Extron's award-winning website, you'll build online configuration tools that allow customers to easily put together complex AV systems, customize Extron products, and generally solve problems they come across in their day-to-day work.
You'll also build cutting-edge AV management products for corporations, classroom environments, and government entities.
Specific Responsibilities: - Collaborate with Product Owners, UX, and QA teams to implement first-rate interactive configuration tools.
- Ideate with Product Owners and the team on new projects and initiatives.
- Take semi-functional HTML/CSS prototypes from our UX Developers and turn them into high-quality, working web applications.
- Design flexible, lightweight, loosely coupled back-end solutions (frameworks, APIs, relational database models).
- Unit test your code and work with our QA team to verify the quality of your solutions.
- Work with our Web Content and Design teams to ensure that Marketing web initiatives are delivered in a timely fashion.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise in our web and cloud environments.
Required Skills, Education and Experience: - BSCS, BSEE Degree.
- 2 years with ASP.NET/C#/MVC/Web API and the .NET Framework.
- 2 years with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Triggers, etc.
- Solid understanding of Web Development best practices.
- Proficiency with front-end development technologies such as HTML5, AJAX, jQuery, and CSS.
- Working knowledge of Git version control, branching, and pull request workflows.
- Must work well in a dynamic team environment; Excellent team and collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong attention to detail, highly organized, computer literate.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional office environment.
Salary range: $85,000 to $95,000. Pay may vary depending on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
