Full Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY

The Wealth Strategist prepares estate and wealth planning analyses, including estate flowcharts, financial models, planning materials, and technical assessments to support ultra-high-net-worth client objectives. This role serves as a technical resource to internal teams, providing expertise, tools, and guidance to inform client-focused wealth planning strategies. In addition to being a technical resource, this role is responsible for joining client meetings with Managing Director(s) and serving as a technical resource for the Managing Director, capturing and prioritizing action items, delegating to the appropriate teams, and managing completion of tasks that arise both during meetings and between meeting cycles to ensure timely implementation of all needed items.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Meeting and Project Liaison

  • Join client meetings with Managing Directors virtually and in person
  • Responsible for action items pre/post client meetings.
  • Responsible for Meeting Prep and Follow-up.
  • Work in conjunction with internal stakeholders for technical guidance and deliverables.


Wealth Planning & Analysis

  • Prepare client estate and wealth transfer deliverables, including creating flowcharts, illustrations, summaries, and related planning materials.
  • Review estate planning documents to identify opportunities and support client objectives.
  • Build financial models and impact analyses using financial software.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand objectives, incorporate insights, and deliver high-quality planning recommendations.


Internal Technical Resource

  • Develop and maintain planning templates, reports, and analyses.
  • Provide technical guidance to client teams during planning and meeting preparation.
  • Review work from associates and integrate feedback.
  • Research and respond to estate and financial planning questions.
  • Stay current on tax, legislative, and industry developments.
  • Contribute to internal technical content, training materials, and educational resources.


Administrative, Professional Development & Other Duties -

  • Handle administrative tasks, attend internal meetings, and participate in ongoing training.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support the firm and client teams.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree and an advanced degree in relevant field or professional designation (such as JD, LLM, CPA, EA, AEP, CFP), required.
  • 7+ years of experience in wealth, estate, or tax planning; experience with ultra-high-net-worth individuals and multi-generational families preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to interpret complex estate documents, financial statements, and tax returns.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial planning software preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex strategies clearly and client-readily.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and respect for confidential matters.
  • Positive, collaborative mindset with a strong work ethic.
