Full Job Description
We're seeking someone to join our Strategy & Initiatives team as a Vice President in Wealth Management Finance. The Wealth Management Finance Strategy & Initiatives team partners closely with the Finance division and the Wealth Management Business Unit to drive strategic transformation and support new business growth. As a key member of this team, you will lead and execute projects focused on simplifying and modernizing Wealth Management Finance data and systems infrastructure. You will also serve as a representative for Finance, collaborating with business partners on new initiatives and strategic priorities. This role provides an opportunity to manage both small and large projects across the Wealth Management Finance organization, working with stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions and drive continuous improvement.

In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is a Vice President level position within our Portfolio & Change Management Job Family which manages strategic change management, process re-engineering, and establishment of control procedures for projects with a focus on milestone delivery across projects, managing risks and issues that impact program objectives and facilitating communication across related projects and impacted stakeholders to keep programs on track.

Location: This role is hybrid 3 days onsite in either Purchase NY or Downtown Manhattan. Candidates that sit in downtown will be required to go to Purchase at least once a week.

What you'll do in the role:
- Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
- Responsible for and lead a significant set of deliverables, leveraging advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment
- Proactively identify emerging risks in individual and department work and contribute to strategies for mitigating them
- Act as a role model and culture carrier; Embody and set an example of the Firm's values and holds yourself and others accountable to Firm standards
-Strategic Transformation: Lead strategic initiatives to simplify, modernize, and enhance Finance processes, data, reporting, and technology capabilities.
-Change Leadership: Act as a change agent by challenging assumptions, driving thoughtful discussions, and helping stakeholders navigate complex business decisions.
-Strategic Partnership: Partner with Finance, Technology, Operations and business leaders to translate strategic priorities into actionable solutions and measurable outcomes.
-Business Acumen: Develop a deep understanding of Wealth Management Finance processes, reporting, data, and business drivers to serve as a trusted subject matter expert.
-Opportunity Assessment: Evaluate new business initiatives and identify implications, opportunities, risks, dependencies and required Finance capabilities.
-Requirements & Testing: Drive business analysis activities including requirements definition, process design, validation, testing, and readiness.
-Technical Partnership: Partner closely with Technology teams to define target-state solutions and ensure successful delivery of business and operational objectives.
-AI & Innovation: Leverage data, analytics, automation and AI to improve decision-making, increase efficiency, and enhance the user experience.
-Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships across functions and facilitate alignment among stakeholders with competing priorities.

What you'll bring to the role:
- Advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment and technical skills, as well as of industry and competitive environment

- In-depth knowledge of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment and technical skills, as well as of industry and competitive environment
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience in Finance, Strategy, Transformation, Consulting, Business Analysis, Product Management, Technology Delivery, or a related field.
- Education: B.A./B.S. in a relevant field.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to connect detailed analysis to broader business objectives.
- Influence & Credibility: Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, challenge constructively, and drive alignment in complex, matrixed organizations.
- Leading Through Influence: Demonstrated ability to lead through influence rather than authority, building consensus among stakeholders with competing priorities while maintaining focus on outcomes.
- Technical Partnership: Experience partnering with Technology teams to define requirements, support solution design, drive testing, and implement business solutions.
- Analytical Capability: Strong analytical skills with experience working with large and complex data sets.
- Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including the ability to convey complex concepts to senior audiences.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
