This role will report to the Truist Wealth Business Management Leader and formulate, develop, and execute strategic initiatives and operating routines for Wealth Brokerage within the Wholesale Banking organization. The leader will utilize strong critical-thinking skills to design and deliver strategies to drive business and financial outcomes in support of Wholesale Banking and Wealth Brokerage strategic objectives. The role will collaborate with and direct business and functional partners serving as an extension of Chief Wholesale Banking Officer (CWBO), Wholesale Chief Business Execution & Risk Officer (CBERO), Head of Truist Wealth, Head of Wealth Brokerage, and the broader Truist Wealth leadership team. Critical objectives include leading complex, cross-functional initiatives that accelerate performance and results.

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job.  Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below.  Specific activities may change from time to time.  


1.    Support development of Wholesale Banking strategic and operating plan, including roadmap of impacts from strategic priorities and BAU activities on a rolling 12-month basis.
2.    Partner with line of business and business unit leaders to develop business strategy and target operating model including organizational shifts and adjustments (people, product, process) required to deliver on strategy. 
3.     Translate strategic objectives into cross-functional execution plans that enable the realization of desired outcomes.
4.    Provide perspective on relative performance to peers and lead development of Board and external deliverables (e.g., Earnings Prep, Investor Day, etc.).
5.    On an ongoing basis, independently engage business and functional leaders/partners 1-2 down from CWBO to identify opportunities and develop initiatives to accelerate performance against strategic goals and objectives.
6.    Lead the development of, and present recommendations to address strategic business needs.
7.    Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses (e.g., benchmarks, industry trends, internal operating and financial data) to support strategic rationale and measure results.
8.    Lead cross-functional teams to clarify execution tactics and plans to achieve strategic goals.
9.    Facilitate and drive project meetings with senior business leaders and client, product, business partner SMEs.
10.    Develop, guide, and mentor less tenured teammates.
11.    Support development and execution of agenda and approach to operating routines including leadership meetings and business reviews.
12.    Prepare formal presentations for the CWBO, including regular town halls, leadership meetings, and leadership offsites.
13.    Develop and drive consistent adoption of templates, processes, and approaches to streamline core and common functions including meetings, events & client engagement, business overviews, headcount tracking and management, HR initiatives, etc.
14.    Collaborate with functional partners including finance, HR, credit & risk management, legal & compliance, marketing & communications, events, and technology.
15.    Support a culture of collaboration and trust through frequent and transparent communication, professionalism, and respect.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1.    Bachelor’s degree in Business, or equivalent education and related training or experience to include 10+ years of experience in positions that carry increasing levels of responsibility, including experience in strategy or business consulting
2.    Critical-thinking skills; ability to break-down large, abstract problems or questions into sub-components and develop comprehensive and cohesive recommendations, with supporting data/rationale
3.    Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
4.    Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
5.    Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels in the organization
6.    Advanced proficiency with MS Office tools: PowerPoint, Excel and Word


Preferred Qualifications:
7.    4+ years of credit, portfolio, and/or relationship management experience
8.    Strong knowledge and experience in strategic planning and execution, including creating and executing comprehensive plans associated with business mergers, conversions, product changes, technology releases, policy changes, and line of business strategic plans
9.    Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to resolve conflicts and gain commitment to accomplish business goals
10.    Proven ability to collaborate across organizational silos
11.    Ability to think strategically while delivering tactically 
12.    Ability to translate and present complex data in a manner that educates, enhances understanding, and influences decisions
13.    Advanced skills in data visualization and storytelling
14.    Deep knowledge of wholesale banking including corporate, commercial, and payments
15.    Strong executive presence and communication skills
16.    Sense of urgency and ability to multi-task and manage competing projects in a deadline-driven environment
17.    MBA
