Summary/ObjectiveReporting to a Partner and the Director of Wealth Management, the Wealth Advisor is responsible for managing a group book of client relationships, delivering comprehensive financial planning and investment advisory services. This role is ideal for a credentialed professional (CFP® or CPA) with a solid foundation in financial planning who is ready to take greater ownership of client relationships, contribute to business development, and mentor junior team members.
Essential Functions- Manage and serve as the primary advisor for an assigned book of client households, delivering comprehensive financial planning and ongoing wealth management strategies aligned with clients' goals and objectives
- Conduct client reviews, analyze financial data, and develop recommendations related to investment management, retirement planning, tax efficiency, risk management, and estate planning
- Build and strengthen client relationships by collaborating with clients' professional advisors, identifying opportunities for additional planning services, and supporting business development and referral initiatives
- Ensure all client recommendations, communications, and documentation adhere to fiduciary obligations, regulatory requirements, and firm policies and procedures
- Contribute to the development of the advisory team by mentoring Associate Wealth Advisors, sharing technical expertise, and staying current on industry trends, market conditions, and planning strategies
Responsibilities & Duties- Serve as primary advisor for an assigned book of client households, managing the full relationship lifecycle
- Develop, present, and implement comprehensive financial plans covering retirement, investment, tax, risk management, and estate planning strategies
- Conduct regular client review meetings to assess progress toward financial goals and adjust plans as needed
- Analyze client financial data and provide recommendations on asset allocation, tax efficiency, and risk mitigation
- Collaborate with clients' professionals (CPA, Estate Attorney, etc.) to deliver coordinated, holistic advice
- Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships and expand services (referrals, additional assets, family members)
- Ensure all client interactions and recommendations comply with fiduciary standards and firm/regulatory requirements
- Mentor and provide guidance to Associate Wealth Advisors
- Stay current on tax law changes, market conditions, and planning strategies relevant to client portfolios
- Participate in business development activities, including client seminars, referral partner relationships, and community engagement
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, recommendations, and plan updates

Education & ExperienceRequired- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field required
- CFP® certification or active CPA license required
- Minimum 5 years of client facing experience in financial planning or wealth management
- Series 65 (or 66) license
- Demonstrated knowledge of investment management, tax planning, retirement planning, and estate planning concepts
- Knowledge of tax concepts and business consulting services, combined with strong client relationship skills and the ability to deliver holistic support and guidance to a diverse client base.
- Strong proficiency in financial planning software (eMoney, MoneyGuidePro) and portfolio management tools
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and relationship management skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple client relationships with a high level of service and accuracy
- Sound judgment and ability to work independently while collaborating within a team structure
Preferred- Experience working with high-net-worth individuals, business owners, or dental/medical professionals (industry-specific niche experience a plus)
- Additional designations (CPA, ChFC®, CIMA®, CWPA®, AEP®, CAP®) complementary to CFP®
- Track record of client retention and organic growth within a book of business
TravelMinimal travel required to see select clients and attend CWA's Annual Meeting.
Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical DemandsThis is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing may be required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
Position Type & Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time, exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some remote work and flexibility in hours is allowed based on management's approval.
