Full Job Description
GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager to join our Waterfront Engineering team. This is a full-time position that will be located in one of our Oak Brook, Chicago (IL) or Brookfield, Milwaukee (WI) office locations. The ideal candidate is a Civil Engineer with a strong interest in Waterfront Engineering projects across the Great Lakes Region. Projects include shoreline and beach protection, site development, living shorelines, utilities, stormwater, coastal bluff slope and toe protection, dredging and various other coastal projects.

Key Duties:

  • Managing projects and tasks
  • Preparing project plans utilizing Civil 3D and technical specifications working closely with Principal Engineers
  • Regulatory permitting
  • Assist with field survey data collection and other field work as needed
  • Conducting technical analyses/calculations
  • Complete data engineering analysis
  • Managing projects and tasks
  • Construction administration-field and office support

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, coastal or marine engineering, geotechnical. Master's degree a plus
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience
  • College course work in coastal science/engineering preferred but not required
  • Strong Civil 3D/AutoCAD skills
  • EIT or PE preferred or ability to obtain


The base salary for this position may range between $90,000 and $115,000. The actual base salary and total compensation will depend on many factors, including location, candidate experience, education, professional licensure, and other qualifications.
