Step into Your New Role
As a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer, you will work closely with principal technical professionals and project managers to engaged in and deliver the total lifecycle of our clients’ needs. That may include asset management and planning, assistance with project funding applications, preliminary and final designs, procurement and bid phase assistance and construction phase services. Candidates must have a strong work ethic and a passion for water/ wastewater treatment and facilities. Experience with municipal water and wastewater unit process treatment, pipeline and treatment plant hydraulics, process mechanical layouts is essential.
Most of our team enjoys a hybrid schedule, which allows us to offer this role in: Princeton or Hamilton, NJ; or our Philadelphia (Exton), PA offices.
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to:
- Provide and apply their technical knowledge in Planning (treatment studies, process/hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, permitting and site planning).
- Provide and apply their technical knowledge in Design (process design, process / mechanical design, process and equipment selection, sizing, layout of equipment, chemical feed systems).
- Provide and apply their technical knowledge in Construction (bidding assistance to the client, construction administration around submittal reviews, responses to technical RFI’s and engineering site inspections).
- Provide and apply their technical knowledge in Funding & Permits (assist in preparing applications, respond to review comments, perform closeout assignments).
- Perform condition assessments, basis of design studies.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in chemical, civil, environmental or mechanical engineering.
- Engineer-In-Training/FE.
- 6-10 years of civil engineering design experience required with a focus on water wastewater treatment facilities design or related experience.
- Previous experience in writing basis of design reports, preparing process mechanical drawings for water and wastewater facilities, preparing engineering estimates of construction costs and technical specifications.
- Strong AutoCAD and BIM (Revit) skills.
- Ability and motivation to obtain Professional Engineering license within one (1) year of required.
- Candidates must possess excellent organizational, communication, computer and technical writing skills.
- SewerGEMS /WaterGEMS/ Process treatment modeling (Biowin)preferred.
- Membership in AWWA, ASCE and or Water Environment Federation or desire to participate preferred.
