In the role of Water/Wastewater Project Engineer, we'll count on you to: • Take responsibility for performing complex assignments utilizing judgment in performing engineering analyses and design. • Work on project teams including Senior Engineers and EITs on the design of site development and water infrastructure projects including water and wastewater treatment systems. • Design site and utility infrastructure systems related to drinking water, wastewater, and water resources including the development and preparation of the construction plans, specifications and estimates of construction cost. • Prepare preliminary engineering reports or studies. • Complete engineering calculations to support design decisions and recommendations. • Perform site visits and field investigations when required. • Assist with engineering services during construction including review of material submittals and requests for information. • Function as a project manager on small and medium sized projects as needed. • Supervise and mentor entry-level engineers. • Work with local team to perform marketing and business development activities as needed. • Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications • MS • A minimum of 4 years of experience designing and creating plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects *POSITION CAN BE BASED IN HONOLULU OR MAUI Qualifications Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field • Previous experience designing and creating plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects • Professional Engineer (PE) license • Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
