Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required
• Preferred Master's degree in Hydrology, Hydraulics, or related field
• 4-10 years of relevant professional experience
• Experience with water resource project design and construction administration
• New Mexico Professional Engineer License or ability to obtain it within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Provide project engineering and manage tasks for water resources design projects
• Supervise and delegate duties to junior engineers and support staff
• Conduct modeling and design of stormwater collection systems
• Perform studies related to floodplain, inundation, and hydrology
• Analyze sediment transport and scour for water resources initiatives
• Assist with water resources permitting processes
• Collect, assess, and deliver data in reports and presentations
• Develop engineering plans and specifications for water-related facilities
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams of various experts
• Participate in business development and proposal preparation efforts
