Your Impact- Apply water quality models to evaluate potential environmental effects on aquatic systems for mining and natural resource projects
- Develop, refine, and adapt numerical water quality models to support complex environmental assessments
- Contribute to conceptual model development, data analysis, and interpretation of modelling results
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver environmental impact assessments for large-scale mining operations
- Support the preparation of technical reports, proposals, and client presentations
- Provide technical guidance and task direction to junior water quality modellers
- Help strengthen WSP's water quality modelling practice through innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence
The Skills That Set You Apart- University degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources, or a related discipline (M.Sc. or higher preferred)
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in water quality modelling
- Demonstrated experience using multiple water quality modelling software packages
- Knowledge of mining-related environmental practices, including aquatic effects program development and execution
- Familiarity with environmental assessment processes and permitting requirements
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and remain adaptable in a fast-paced consulting environment
CompensationAB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $80,800 - $107,000
MB & ON: $73,700 - $101,500
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $73,000 - $96,900
