Full Job Description
In the role of Washington Area Safety Manager, we'll count on you to:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in implementing and reviewing site-specific safety plans and programs
  • Support and assist company's field staff and Project/Construction Managers in SH&E requirements
  • Show proficiency in SH&E auditing and inspection protocols, behavior-based safety observation program implementation, and development and review of Job Hazard Analysis
  • Be proficient in SH&E training and able to facilitate this training as required
  • Display working knowledge of SH&E regulatory codes to include both federal and state
  • Partner with the Area Manager to establish best practices and procedures in support of SH&E requirements within an office and field environment
  • Perform other duties as needed


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous SH&E work experience in construction, mining/tunneling, water infrastructure, DOT, Oil and Gas and/or A&E firm

  • Certification in one or more SH&E fields such as (Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), (GSP) Graduate Safety Practitioner, or equivalent SH&E Project/Program Management experience
  • Extensive knowledge of OSHA and ANSI regulatory standards
  • Knowledge and application of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software
  • Team-oriented with proven oral and written skills to support company SH&E policy and procedural requirements
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
