We’re looking for a Warehouse Operations Manager who thrives in an onsite environment and enjoys partnering with high‑touch, complex customer accounts. You’ll support daily problem‑solving and process improvement, be the go-to resource for our client, and lead and develop a high performing team to drive both exceptional customer and employee experiences.The Operations Manager oversees onsite logistics and operations, ensuring exceptional service, efficient warehouse and transportation workflow, strong team performance, and alignment with customer expectations and company goals. This role interacts heavily with the customer while driving operational excellence, KPI achievement, and financial performance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing all functions relating to freight movement into and out of the warehouse(s), maintaining prescribed service levels while keeping cost controls in place.
- Training and supervising employees to ensure meeting departmental and company objectives. Interfaces with Transportation Operations to resolve any problems associated with scheduling and dispatching.
- Maintains and develops appropriate warehousing programs that meet cost and service objectives and production and customer needs. Recommends programs that improve the operations function.
- Maintains and directs the implementation of procedures to ensure that freight claims are processed and collected in a timely manner.
- Forecast, identifies and analyzes costs, equipment availability and service levels, making recommendations and instituting corrective action.
- Establishes and measure KPIs to drive performance for on-time in-full delivery performance, shipping costs for all forms of transit (land, air, sea), warehouse inventory management, warehousing productivity and quality, and workforce planning requirements.
- Investigates cause analysis issues for problem reconciliation and lead corrective action for complaints related to transportation, logistics handling and warehousing of finished product.
- Maintains and develops fiscal budgets and ensures effective management within budgetary guidelines. Provides senior management with periodic reports as designated.
- Establish and maintain relationship with customers, serving as a resolve to escalations and conflict, and proactively working to identify service improvement opportunities.
- Ensures staff cohesively support strategic customer care service objectives, coach front-line management to enhance staff and team skills and competencies, and establish team performance objectives.
- Ensures the operations is in compliance with Federal and State regulations.

Demonstrated ability to think strategically with the ability to build and manage equally compelling operations. Proven ability to successfully thrive in an ambiguous environment.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite, advance level Excel. A working knowledge of warehouse and transportation management systems is a must.
- Strong team player, is an owner, and ultimately focused on delivering results with high standards.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in logistics, supply chain, transportation or a business-related field.
- Minimum 8+ years of direct experience in a similar industry
- Working knowledge of regulations relating to transportation and warehouse operations, coupled with experience with a variety of logistics sourcing strategies.
- Demonstrated skills associated with building vendor relationships, hands-on experience with the development and deployment of departmental metrics, and experience monitoring the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of logistics networks.
- Financial acumen and budgeting experience.
- Experience in Lean, Six Sigma and other continuous improvement initiatives, including ISO applications.
- Knowledge of industry standard applications for transportation and warehousing (WMS).
