Summary:The VP, Technology serves as a senior technology leader responsible for translating the organization's technology vision into effective execution, driving innovation, and ensuring that technology and data capabilities directly enable measurable program outcomes. This role operates at the intersection of strategy, operations, and program delivery, aligning enterprise technology investments with organizational priorities and mission impact.
This leader oversees key components of the technology ecosystem, including technology operations, data, platform engineering, enterprise systems, and digital capabilities, while supporting the organization's broader digital transformation agenda. The VP partners closely with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen technology capabilities, and ensure technology solutions effectively support programs, players, fans, partners, and employees. The role requires both strategic leadership and hands-on engagement to translate technology into real-world performance improvements and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Strategy & Leadership- Translate and execute the enterprise technology vision and strategic roadmap in alignment with organizational priorities
- Lead enterprise-wide innovation, digital transformation, and technology modernization initiatives.
- Establish technology governance, prioritization, and investment frameworks.

Business & Program Alignment- Align technology investments to organizational priorities and measurable program outcomes, and WTA growth strategies
- Partner with program leadership to ensure technology capabilities directly improve execution and impact
- Ensure resource capacity management is used to optimize resource costs and ensure efficient delivery
- Translate complex program needs into scalable, sustainable technology solutions
- Provide WTA teams with support to drive individual and departmental-level use of technology, business process improvements, and improved performance
- Build effective relationships across business units to identify technology opportunities and ensure solutions meet organizational needs.
- Communicate technology priorities, progress, risks, and opportunities to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
Data & Impact Enablement- Drive the use of data as a strategic asset across the organization

Cross-Functional Operating Model- Programs / Tennis Ecosystem: Align solutions to program needs and outcomes, ensure technology improves participant experience and program effectiveness, prioritize investments based on program impact
- Performance Health: Set enterprise direction for data governance, health data strategy, and compliance, ensure integration of health and operational insights, while ensuring frictionless experiences for players and other resources
- IT Operations: Establish expectations for reliability, security, and service delivery, balance innovation with operational stability. Partner with IT leadership to ensure enterprise systems, applications, infrastructure, and platforms are reliable, secure, scalable, and aligned with business needs. Support cybersecurity, data privacy, business continuity, and disaster recovery initiatives in partnership with appropriate technology leaders.
- Technology Partners & Vendors: Oversee strategic technology vendor relationships and ensure accountability for service levels, delivery, security, and performance.
- Governance, Risk & Compliance: Ensure technology initiatives and operations align with applicable data privacy requirements, security standards, and internal governance frameworks. Monitor technology performance, risks, and key performance indicators to ensure reliability, security, and effective service delivery.
- Platform technology proposals and decisions that support both Tour and Ventures in a manner that ensures budget alignment, security, and scale
- Executive Leadership / Board: Communicate strategy in business terms, provide visibility into ROI, risk, and performance. Provide data-driven insights and technology recommendations to support executive decision-making and strategic planning.
- External Partners: Set standards for third-party engagement and ensure accountability for delivery
Data Governance & Management- Establish and lead the enterprise-wide data governance framework
- Define clear data ownership, accountability, standards, and decision rights across key data domains
- Ensure data quality, integrity, security, privacy, accessibility, and appropriate lifecycle management across the organization
- Embed data governance requirements into technology platforms, systems, partnerships, procurement, and digital transformation initiatives
- Drive consistent data definitions, standards, stewardship, and quality practices
- Partner with Legal to ensure data practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, contractual obligations, and internal policies.
- Establish appropriate governance and controls for emerging data-driven capabilities, including AI, analytics and machine learning
Education & Experience- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive technology leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior executive role.
- Demonstrated success in leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
- Proven experience in software development, systems integration, data management, and cloud technologies.
- Significant professional background with agile methodologies, ERP implementations, enterprise architecture, and IT governance.
- Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., PMP, ITIL, AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Expert, CISM).
