The Opportunity

The VP, Strategy & Transformation is responsible for leading the development, execution, and ongoing management of the Company's strategic agenda while driving enterprise-wide transformation initiatives that deliver sustainable growth and value creation. Reporting to the SVP Supply Chain and Transformation, this role serves as a key strategic advisor to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), ensuring that corporate priorities are translated into actionable plans, executed effectively, and aligned with long-term organizational objectives.

The VP, Strategy & Transformation will help shape and execute the organization's strategic plan, lead cross-functional strategic initiatives, support corporate development activities including mergers and acquisitions, and oversee enterprise transformation programs.

Responsibilities

Corporate Strategy & Strategic Planning

  • Support the development and execution of the Company's strategic plan, ensuring alignment with the organization's vision, values, and long-term objectives.

  • Drive the execution and ongoing management of strategic projects in key business areas to ensure alignment with the company’s overall strategic plan.

  • Partner with the ELT to identify strategic priorities, growth opportunities, and emerging risks.

  • Support executive decision-making through data-driven analysis and business insights.

Enterprise Transformation

  • Lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives that improve operational performance and effectiveness.

  • Establish governance, accountability, and reporting mechanisms to ensure key initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable value realization.

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to remove barriers, accelerate decision-making, and ensure successful execution of key priorities.

  • Oversee the implementation of business process improvements, operating model enhancements, and organizational change initiatives.

Value Creation

  • Support value creation activities, including post merge and acquisition and business expansion activities.

  • Conduct strategic assessments, business case development, and due diligence activities to support growth and investment decisions as needed.

  • Evaluate strategic opportunities and provide recommendations to the ELT based on financial, operational, and strategic considerations.

Leadership & Culture

  • Foster a culture of strategic thinking, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Build strong relationships across the organization to ensure alignment, engagement, and successful adoption of transformation initiatives.

  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams through complexity and organizational change without direct authority where required.

  • Promote a results-oriented environment focused on execution excellence and measurable impact.

Experience

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree (MBA or advanced degree highly preferred) with 12–15+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or operational excellence, including significant senior leadership tenure.

  • Proven track record of sponsoring, architecting, and executing massive, multi-stakeholder enterprise transformations, turnarounds, or post-merger integrations from conception to long-term value realization.

  • Exceptional structuring and communication skills with the ability to confidently advise and influence C-suite executives and Board members while maintaining operational credibility with execution teams.

  • Deep leadership experience within operations-heavy, highly regulated, or manufacturing environments at a global or enterprise scale.

  • Demonstrated mastery in designing and implementing enterprise-wide operating models, corporate governance structures, and overarching KPI frameworks that align organizational performance with long-term strategy.

This is a full time remote position based in Ontario.
