Overview

Position Overview

The Vice President of Salesis responsible fordeveloping and executing the sales strategy for national accounts within the vitamin and supplement industry. This role involves leading a dedicated sales team, managing key national accounts, driving revenue growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sales leadership within the health and wellness sector, a deep understanding of the vitamin and supplement market, and a proventrack recordof managing and growing national accounts.

Responsibilities

Specific Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy and Execution:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market share with national accounts.
  • Establish and monitor sales goals,customerand product KPIs, and other performance metrics to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  • Identifynew business opportunities, market trends, and competitive threats to stay ahead in the industry.
  • Sales Operations:
  • Oversee the management and optimization of sales pipelines, ensuring consistent andaccurateforecasting.
  • Collaborate with marketing to align lead generation strategies and ensure a seamless handoff of qualified leads.
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and closing deals with high-profile or strategic clients.
  • Account Management:
  • Build andmaintainstrong, long-term relationships with key accounts.
  • Understand customer needs and develop tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profitability and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance the company27s brand and customer base.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development,operations, and other departments to ensure alignment and support for sales initiativesand overall customer portfolio management.
  • Work closely with the executive team to align sales efforts with overall company goals.
  • Reporting and Analytics:
  • Develop andmaintainsales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics.
  • Analyze sales data toidentifytrends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Present regular updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Education, Experience, and Licenses:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, ora relatedfield; MBA preferred.
