Full Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:

The VP Sales & Customer Service reports to the LSS Sr. VP LSS and is a member of the LSS leadership team. He/she is responsible for the direction and management of the LSS business unit's sales, marketing, and business development strategy for Core Training Products, Training Solutions and TotalCare in the Americas including pricing, sales, customer service and channel strategy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Establishes and maintains an annual business and financial plan controlling the P&L while advancing company objectives, promoting long-term sustainable growth for revenue and profitability for the organization while managing the cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism, to meet operating needs.
• Critically assess and take a disciplined approach in evaluating the market. Create and execute a strategic plan to differentiate LSS from the rest of the market. Gain market share through a shift in sales channel strategy, maintaining and driving sales goals, while managing and maintaining a proactive intimate customer relationship.
• Develop pricing policies, including volume discounts and terms and conditions for high- profile customers and channel partners. Ultimately responsible for pricing decisions and investment recommendations.
• Implement programs that include sales and customer service
• Remain informed of industry trends, attend trade shows, industry conferences and seminars as appropriate or as directed.
• Partner with HR on wage, bonus and commission schedules for people in his/her organization in line with budget and operating constraints.
• Approve, within budgetary and corporate guidelines, expenditures for capital equipment needed in his/her organization.
• Manage the day-to-day activities of people in his/her organization, overseeing that work is accomplished by the managers and supervisors, and that it is consistent with corporate policies and objectives.
• Oversee that his/her staff develop and manage to goals and implement professional developmental plans for the his /her employees.
• Manage overall sales policies and process, set appropriate sales process discipline, and metrics for sales funnel management while maintaining a common culture and drive for strong customer intimacy and relationships. Participate in strategic sales calls with key strategic deals and end users.
• Responsible for building corporate growth strategies demonstrating organic growth.
• Ensure sales channel and channel partner readiness: oversee the development of internal and external product training programs for agents and dealers.
• Review activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions.

EDUCATION AND BEHAVIORS:
• At least 10 years' experience in comparable industries, with 5 years in a senior management position
• College degree required; master's degree preferred
• Experience in some type of technical safety regulated or requirements driven industry
• Experience monitoring marketplace to identify business opportunities
• Possess expertise in sales, marketing, strategic planning and execution, and effective personnel management
• Proven experience managing a business with customers and operations in multiple countries, specifically Canada and LATAM
• Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels
• Overseen or acted as a member of a marketing team during his/her career
• Demonstrate outstanding leadership, communication and interpersonal skills as a player coach to his/her teams, and as a sales presenter to customers and prospects.
• Highly collaborative, team player who works productively with wide range of people
• Experience managing highly disciplined sales pipeline process
• Proven history of delivering profitable financial performance
• Able to read, analyze and interpret pricing calculations and financial statements.
• Demonstrated understanding and application of effective selling strategies and techniques
• Possess expertise in the science of selling, including pipeline and CRM analysis and management
• Proven history developing and implementing incentive plans to increase sales and improve profitability

  • Hearing and vision required to be within normal ranges with or without correction;
  • Using proper lifting technique may be required to lift objects up to 30 lbs;
  • Required to operate traditional office equipment including computers, copiers, fax machines and telephones.
