Job Title
VP, Head of Application Operations for Treasury

As VP, Head of Application Operations for Treasury, you will lead Application Operations (AppOps) for the Treasury technology portfolio, covering production stability, resiliency, availability, performance, security, and continuous improvement. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Client Support, and executive leaders to support Treasury platforms used by financial institutions in regulated environments. Your work will improve service delivery, reduce operational risk, and advance automation, cloud operations, and observability.

What you'll do:
  • Define and execute the Treasury AppOps strategy aligned to business, technology, risk, and resiliency objectives.
  • Lead Application Operations, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Production Support, Monitoring, Reliability Engineering, and Platform Operations teams across Treasury services.
  • Establish and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), executive reporting, and operational risk governance.
  • Oversee production stability, incident response, root cause analysis, corrective action planning, disaster recovery readiness, capacity planning, and change success improvement.
  • Drive AppOps modernization through automation, operational intake frameworks, self-healing capabilities, automated remediation, and tooling strategy.
  • Expand observability and monitoring across Treasury applications using platforms such as Dynatrace, Splunk, synthetic monitoring, Application Performance Monitoring, and business metrics dashboards.
  • Lead operational readiness for Azure cloud services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), containerized services, Application Programming Interface (API) platforms, event-driven architectures, and cloud security controls.
  • Manage and develop managers and geographically distributed teams through clear goals, performance routines, talent development, and succession planning.

Experience you'll need to have:
  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise technology leadership supporting large-scale platforms in regulated or high-availability environments.
  • 12+ years of experience leading production operations, application support, Site Reliability Engineering, or platform operations organizations.
  • 12+ years of experience managing and developing teams, including managers and geographically distributed teams.
  • 12+ years of experience supporting financial services, Treasury, payments, commercial banking, or related transaction-processing platforms.
  • 10+ years of experience with operational governance across technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, microservices, Application Programming Interfaces, Kubernetes, container platforms, Azure cloud services, DevOps, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), monitoring, observability, security, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience leading executive incident communications, operational risk reviews, financial planning, portfolio prioritization, and resiliency improvement programs.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.


Experience that would be great to have:
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience with Treasury platforms covering Cash Management, Wire Services, Automated Clearing House (ACH), fraud monitoring, reporting, Digital Treasury, Commercial Banking, Real-Time Payments (RTP), and core banking integrations.
  • Experience improving mean time to recover (MTTR), mean time to detect (MTTD), change success rates, automation coverage, disaster recovery outcomes, and service availability.
  • Experience tracking operational savings from automation, toil reduction, and efficiency programs.


How you'll work:
  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experience helps you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
  • This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.

Salary Range
$210,000.00 - $330,000.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
