VP, Digital Product Manager - Acquisitions (C13)

This strategic digital product management role sits within the Acquisitions team in the Digital & Customer Experience (DCX) organization for U.S. Consumer Cards. The team's mission is to drive customer growth through best-in-class, data-driven acquisition experiences, spanning prospecting, application, approval, and onboarding journeys.

We are seeking a high-performing product manager who can define the future vision of acquisitions in an increasingly AI-driven landscape, while also executing with rigor. This individual will bring a strong combination of strategic thinking, storytelling, and operational excellence to deliver measurable business impact.

The ideal candidate is comfortable influencing without authority, shaping direction, and diving deep into execution when needed.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision
  • Define and shape the forward-looking vision and strategy for digital acquisitions, incorporating emerging capabilities such as AI, personalization, and automation
  • Identify opportunities to transform acquisition journeys and unlock new sources of customer growth
  • Translate strategy into a clear, prioritized product roadmap

Storytelling & Influence
  • Develop clear, compelling narratives that articulate the value of acquisitions initiatives to senior leaders and cross-functional partners
  • Present product features and strategies with the right balance of detail for senior product/technology audiences and clarity for non-technical stakeholders
  • Influence decision-making across Product, Marketing, Risk, Technology, and Operations

Execution & Product Delivery
  • Drive execution of key acquisition initiatives, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of features
  • Partner closely with engineering and scrum teams to guide effective Agile execution
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in Jira (or similar Agile tools) to manage backlogs, track progress, and ensure transparency across teams
  • Maintain strong ownership of delivery outcomes and step in to resolve critical issues, including production incidents, when necessary

Product Leadership & Team Enablement
  • Provide guidance and informal leadership to junior product managers, helping them effectively manage backlogs, run scrum ceremonies, and deliver value
  • Share best practices to strengthen overall product management discipline and execution quality across the team

Stakeholder & Partner Management
  • Build and manage relationships with key business stakeholders and partner teams
  • Drive alignment across cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities
  • Make informed trade-off decisions that balance customer experience, business value, and technical feasibility

Data, Metrics & Performance Management
  • Define and monitor key acquisition KPIs (e.g., funnel conversion, application completion, approval rates, customer growth)
  • Use data and insights to continuously optimize performance and inform product decisions
  • Maintain strong focus on measurement, experimentation, and outcomes

Risk, Controls & Operational Excellence
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of risk, controls, and operational resilience
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and Citi's control framework
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, particularly in technology implementations
  • Exercise sound judgment on when to escalate or intervene, especially in high-impact or production scenarios

Qualifications
  • 6-10 years of experience in digital product management, acquisitions, growth, or related roles
  • Proven ability to define product strategy and drive execution
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to tailor messaging across audiences
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments without direct authority
  • Solid understanding of Agile product development and delivery processes, including hands-on experience with tools such as Jira
  • Strong analytical mindset with a focus on metrics, performance, and continuous improvement
  • Ability to operate effectively at both strategic and tactical levels

Preferred Experience
  • Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries
  • Experience optimizing digital acquisition funnels and customer journeys
