The Data Office is seeking a Vice President, Data Office Transformation to serve as an internal consultant and strategic advisor responsible for driving the evolution of the firm's data management capabilities. This role will partner closely with Data Office leadership, business stakeholders, technology teams, and enterprise partners to identify opportunities to modernize, simplify, and enhance how data is managed across the organization. The successful candidate will help shape and execute the future vision for the Data Office, driving improvements in operating models, governance processes, organizational effectiveness, data products, risk management practices, controls, reporting, and business adoption. Unlike traditional program management roles, this position focuses on identifying business problems, developing recommendations, influencing stakeholders, and leading transformational change. The role combines elements of strategy consulting, business transformation, operating model design, and change leadership. This is a senior individual contributor that requires strong analytical, communication, and influence skills, along with the ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries to deliver sustainable improvements. Key Responsibilities Data Office Strategy & Transformation 3 Act as an internal consultant to Data Office leadership, helping identify and prioritize strategic improvement opportunities. 3 Evaluate current operating models, processes, governance structures, organizational capabilities, and technology solutions to identify opportunities for simplification and modernization. 3 Develop future-state strategies, operating models, and transformation roadmaps that improve effectiveness, scalability, and business value. 3 Lead high-impact initiatives that advance the Data Office's strategic objectives. 3 Support the development and execution of multi-year transformation plans. Business & Organizational Effectiveness 3 Assess organizational structures, roles, responsibilities, and delivery models to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accountability. 3 Develop recommendations to optimize processes, organizational capabilities, and workforce utilization. 3 Support workforce planning, operating model redesign, and organizational change initiatives. 3 Identify opportunities to centralize, automate, simplify, or eliminate low-value activities. 3 Define success metrics and business outcomes for transformation initiatives. Data Program Modernization 3 Drive initiatives that strengthen data quality, business data management, data products, AI readiness, governance capabilities, and risk management practices. 3 Help define future-state capabilities supporting trusted data, self-service adoption, data risk management, analytics, and AI enablement. 3 Evaluate industry practices and emerging trends to identify opportunities to advance the firm's data program. Strategic Advisory & Executive Support 3 Develop executive-level presentations, business cases, recommendations, and strategic communications. 3 Facilitate leadership workshops, planning sessions, and decision-making forums. 3 Provide analysis and challenge on strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and organizational priorities. 3 Support leadership teams in evaluating trade-offs, risks, dependencies, and implementation approaches. 3 Develop materials for senior executives, governance forums, and steering committees. Transformation Delivery 3 Lead cross-functional initiatives from strategy development through execution. 3 Track benefits realization and ensure transformation initiatives deliver measurable business value. 3 Manage dependencies, risks, and stakeholder engagement activities. 3 Drive accountability across participating teams and stakeholders. 3 Establish reporting and metrics that demonstrate progress against transformation objectives. Leadership 3 Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and constructive challenge. 3 Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to leaders across the organization. Qualifications Required 3 8+ years of experience in management consulting, business transformation, strategy, operations, business management, organizational effectiveness, or related disciplines. 3 Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives. 3 Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. 3 Ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations and actionable plans. 3 Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders. 3 Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. 3 Experience developing executive-level materials and business cases. 3 Proven ability to drive change in large, complex organizations. Preferred 3 Experience within financial services, banking, consulting, or other highly regulated industries. 3 Experience with data management, governance, risk management, AI governance, or business transformation programs. 3 Familiarity with operating model design, organizational strategy, process improvement, or business architecture. 3 Experience supporting executive leadership teams, Chief of Staff organizations, or enterprise transformation offices. What This Role Is Not 3 Not a project management office (PMO) role focused solely on status tracking. 3 Not a data engineering, architecture, or software development role. 3 Not a policy administration or compliance testing position. 3 Not responsible for day-to-day operational support activities. 3 Not focused on maintaining existing processes; a key expectation is challenging and improving them. The typical base pay range for this role is as follows: 3 New York / New Jersey: $ 159-193K 3 Non 6New York / New Jersey: $ 134-170K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
