VP, Data Analytics
Reports to: EVP/ Chief Information Officer (CIO)
Direct Reports: Senior Analytics Lead, Power BI Developer Location: Taunton, MA with potential for Hybrid work schedule
Role Summary
The VP / Manager of Data Analytics is a hands-on leader responsible for building, operating, and scaling BCSB's enterprise analytics capability. This role owns analytics strategy, execution, team leadership, and value delivery - ensuring analytics directly supports deposit growth, customer intelligence, automation, and executive decision-making.
The position is deeply involved in roadmap execution, dashboard review, KPI governance, and coaching the analytics team.
Key Responsibilities
• Own the analytics roadmap aligned to bank strategy and ELT priorities
• Lead enterprise adoption of Microsoft Fabric and Power BI
• Lead transition away from legacy Business Objects / Crystal reporting in coordination with COCC
• Oversee phased migration of reporting assets to Power BI
• Oversee phased Fabric security implementation (Wave 1-3 model)
• Translate executive priorities into actionable analytics initiatives
• Establish and lead analytics intake, prioritization, and sprint planning
• Chair or co-chair the Data Governance Steering Group plus the Analytics Enablement Committee
• Review and approve all production dashboards and KPIs
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Lending, and Marketing leadership
• Ensure analytics delivery timelines, quality, and business impact
• Recruit, develop, and retain analytics talent
Hands-On Expectations
• Participate in dashboard design and KPI reviews
• Validate data logic and metric definitions
• Lead executive walkthroughs of analytics products
• Troubleshoot analytics issues with the team when needed
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• 10-15 years experience in analytics, BI, or data leadership
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI and modern data platforms
• Banking or financial services experience strongly preferred
• Proven ability to lead small, high-impact teams
• Strong communication and executive presence
