Title: VP Commercial Loan Officer

Location: North Conway, New Hampshire

Position Details: Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM

FLSA: Exempt, Officer First/Mid Level Officials and Managers

Salary: Negotiable based on level of experience

MVSB is seeking an experienced VP Commercial Loan Officer to strengthen and expand commercial banking relationships in North Conway, New Hampshire. This is a meaningful opportunity for a relationship-driven lending professional who enjoys serving as a trusted financial partner to local businesses, identifying strategic opportunities, and supporting the continued growth of the communities we serve.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will manage and grow a diverse portfolio of commercial loan relationships with business clients and commercial borrowers. You will evaluate creditworthiness, structure lending solutions, and support responsible portfolio growth while maintaining sound credit quality, regulatory compliance, and strong client service.

  • Manage a commercial loan portfolio with a focus on credit quality, client experience, and production goals
  • Meet with applicants, gather financial documentation, and evaluate borrower creditworthiness
  • Prepare and present sound loan recommendations in accordance with established lending policies
  • Ensure approved loans are properly documented, structured, collateralized, and serviced
  • Identify opportunities to expand broader banking relationships, including deposit and additional banking services
  • Monitor portfolio activity, including maturities, past dues, and borrower financial updates
  • Represent MVSB through business development, community involvement, and relationship-building efforts
  • Collaborate with internal teams and business lines to support strategic lending opportunities


What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial lending experience, sound credit judgment, and a genuine commitment to building long-term client relationships.

  • Three to five years of commercial lending, portfolio management, and external business development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong knowledge of commercial lending practices, banking regulations, and credit administration
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial information and make sound credit recommendations
  • Proven success building business relationships and meeting loan production goals
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a larger team
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and follow through on commitments
  • Proficiency with desktop applications, intermediate to advanced spreadsheet skills, and experience with Jack Henry or similar core banking systems preferred
