ABOUT THE ROLE

The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth for VoterX a digital media buying partner for political and public sector advertising clients. This individual will focus on developing new business opportunities, managing the full sales cycle, and building strong client relationships.

This is a hands-on, sales-focused role where the primary measure of success is individual revenue contribution. At the same time, this role is expected to bring a higher level of ownership and leadership - contributing to how VoterX approaches sales, helping guide best practices, and supporting the development of others as the team grows.

The ideal candidate brings both a proven track record in sales and experience managing or mentoring sellers and is excited to apply that experience in a role that combines individual contribution with broader impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Execute full sales cycle from prospecting through close
  • Identify, pursue, and onboard new political, advocacy, and public sector clients
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive long-term success
  • Partner with internal teams to develop and deliver effective campaign strategies
  • Contribute to and help refine VoterX's sales strategy, positioning, and go-to-market approach
  • Share best practices and provide guidance to other team members as needed
  • Help establish scalable processes and approaches that support future team growth
  • Demonstrate leadership through strong individual performance, collaboration, and initiative

Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree - Communications, Journalism, Business, Political Science preferred
  • 5+ years in digital ad sales, with programmatic experience preferred
  • Demonstrated success managing the full sales cycle and closing new business
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring sellers required
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Self-starter with a proactive, results-driven mindset
  • Interest in contributing to team development and evolving responsibilities over time


STRUCTURE
  • 3/2 weekly hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 remote)
  • Travel (to meet clients) encouraged once per quarter but may be more or less based on team member's preference.
