DescriptionJob Summary:This executive role is responsible for overall leadership, performance, and strategic direction of vending operations, with full accountability for revenue growth, customer experience, and operational excellence. The VP of Vending will work cross-functionally with Sales, Warehouse, and Distribution teams to align strategy with execution, drive profitability, and deliver exceptional service.
Responsibilities:Strategy & Leadership- Develop and execute a comprehensive vending strategy integrating sales, operations, and service delivery
- Establish annual business and operating plans aligned with organizational goals
- Partner with executive leadership (Finance, HR, Safety, Marketing) to ensure alignment
- Build and develop a high-performing leadership team and succession pipeline
Sales & Growth- Drive customer acquisition, retention, and contract growth strategies
- Oversee the full sales process, including pipeline management and forecasting
- Set pricing strategies, contract terms, and promotional programs
- Develop regional growth strategies informed by market and customer insights
- Manage key customer relationships and lead high-impact sales opportunities
Operations & Performance- Provide executive oversight of vending service execution in partnership with Warehouse and Distribution teams
- Use data, KPIs, and analytics to improve service levels, reduce waste, and control costs
- Drive process improvements, automation, and technology adoption
- Ensure operational efficiency, safety compliance, and asset stewardship
Financial & Organizational Leadership- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance of the vending business
- Establish incentive and compensation programs aligned to performance goals
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and development across teams
- Ensure accountability, performance management, and team engagement
RequirementsEducation & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive senior leadership experience in sales, marketing, or operations
- Proven experience in strategic planning, contract negotiation, and change management
- Track record of building and executing successful sales and marketing strategies
Skills & Competencies- Strong financial acumen (budgeting, forecasting, cost management)
- Demonstrated ability to balance growth, operations, and customer satisfaction
- Experience using data and KPIs to drive decisions and accountability
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
- Travel may be required as part of this role to support various Bernick's locations, events, or business needs. A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) will be conducted as part of the hiring process and evaluated in relation to the requirements of the role.
- Team members in this position may be required to handle, move, and work with a variety of products, including alcoholic beverages, nicotine products, pork products, and other regulated consumer goods.
