Full Job Description
Position Summary

The Vice President of US Market Access is a key member of the Commercial Leadership Team (CLT) and is responsible for leading and optimizing Geron's US market access operations to ensure broad and sustainable patient access to RYTELO. The Vice President will oversee trade and distribution, national accounts, reimbursement support, and channel operations while driving execution across a complex market access ecosystem. The Vice President will bring deep expertise in developing, negotiating, and managing contracts across group purchasing organizations (GPOs), integrated delivery networks (IDNs), hospitals, physician practices, and commercial reimbursement channels.

This position will be expected to attend in person meetings in the Parsippany, NJ office as needed and will report to the Executive Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead all aspects of trade, distribution, national accounts, and reimbursement operations to ensure reliable product access and supply continuity
  • Develop, negotiate, implement, and manage complex contracts with GPOs, hospitals, physician networks, distributors, and other key channel stakeholders
  • Drive effective distributor and channel partner management, ensuring operational excellence, inventory stewardship, data transparency, and customer satisfaction
  • Provide strategic leadership on pricing, contracting, reimbursement, and channel economics to optimize market access while balancing commercial objectives
  • Utilize channel and customer data to generate actionable insights that support forecasting, performance management, and business planning
  • Maintain strong relationships with key trade, distribution, and GPO customers while proactively identifying and addressing market access challenges
  • Lead implementation and oversight of patient support and hub services to facilitate efficient patient access and reimbursement support
  • Partner closely with Commercial Operations, Medical Affairs, Finance, Marketing, and Market Access teams to develop integrated strategies that improve patient access and business performance
  • Establish metrics, dashboards, and operational reviews to monitor access performance, contract effectiveness, reimbursement trends, and channel execution
  • Provide strong organizational leadership, developing talent, driving accountability, and fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture
  • Serve as the market access subject matter expert to executive leadership, providing recommendations regarding channel strategy, pricing dynamics, access trends, and market developments

Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in business, marketing, or life sciences preferred
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in US-based trade, distribution, and patient access services functions in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry
  • Substantial, hands-on experience with buy and bill dynamics, building and managing trade, field reimbursement teams, and developing contract solutions for GPOs, hospitals, physicians, and commercial and Part-D channels
  • Extensive experience with developing and launching patient engagement models with the objective of driving patient engagement and adherence for innovative therapies
  • Commercial experience in US hematology/oncology markets
  • Recent major market development, pre-launch, and launch experience in the US and key global markets in oncology or hematology

Salary Statement:

Offered compensation is determined based on market data, internal equity, and an applicant's relevant skills, experience, and educational background.

General Salary Range: $325,000 to $355,000
