Job Summary

The Vice President of TBI Operations leads and manages the operations along with the performance of all assigned specialty care clinics, including coordination with relevant THPG and TH leaders to ensure pilot, implementation, and monitoring of strategic initiatives. This position reports directly to the THPG President and COO and is based in the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington area in Texas, USA.

The VP has the following duties and responsibilities:

Strategic planning, program management and implementation: Establish service, clinic, or provider-related strategic priorities and goals, and oversee planning, pilots, implementation, and monitoring of strategic initiatives to meet strategic priorities and goals (e.g., workforce planning, real estate strategy). Champion growth through physician recruitment and same store growth as mutually agreed by physicians and THPG/TH.

Organizational coordination: Interface with THPG / TH leaders to understand and align on initiatives impacting specialty care (e.g., hospital presidents, TH leads focused on service line development); and coordinate with other VP of specialty operations to ensure alignment on overall specialty care strategic priorities, goals, and initiatives and standardization across regions. Communicate with hospital presidents, TH leads focused on service line development, and other leaders to remove roadblocks for specialty care clinics. Coordinate with VP of Transformation and Integration to align on goals, requirements, etc. for new initiatives and monitor implementation in assigned clinics. Align physician expectations with THPG/TH initiatives. Provide open communication of physician concerns and resolutions with THPG/TH leadership. Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and others within the medical community.

Clinic operations management: Help resolve any escalated ops issues. Oversee physician governance and leadership meetings. Manage physician conflicts to align with organizational initiatives. Manage physician quality programs. Insure appropriate communication among physicians, physician leadership and THPG/TH.

Financial metric and budget management: Review financial performance; approve provider compensation changes recommended by directors. Guide and oversee capital and operating budget development for assigned clinics; monitor performance against budgets. Review/approve budget with Finance.

Workforce - provider/staff relationships and development: Resolve escalated physician performance management issues, contracting issues, etc. Manage and develop administrative directors and directors; oversee continuing education.

KPI tracking and management: Oversee KPI performance, identifying gaps/ risks and resolving

Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor's Degree Business or healthcare related field required
Master's Degree Business or healthcare related field MBA, MHA or equivalent experience (20+ yrs) preferred
• 10 years relevant operational experience, with experience in healthcare delivery required. 5 years progressive responsibility and experience in various aspects of physician and practice operational leadership required
5 years managing large teams (20+) required
• 5 years experience in relevant specialty preferred
