NOTICE: JOB APPLICANTS LIMITED TO DC, MD, OR VA RESIDENTS. POSITION IS HYBRID. This position requires candidates to be local to the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Applicants must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of our headquarters and be able to meet the position's onsite work requirements.

Reporting directly to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Vice President, Talent Acquisition & Talent Management will lead the strategy and execution of how Lafayette attracts exceptional talent, builds leadership pipelines, strengthens employee engagement, and prepares the organization for its next stage of growth.

The successful candidate will inherit a solid foundation while having the opportunity to build new capabilities, modernize talent practices, and influence the employee experience across the organization.

You will build and continuously strengthen Lafayette Federal's talent acquisition strategy by:
  • Creating innovative sourcing strategies and recruiting processes.
  • Elevating candidate experience.
  • Strengthening employment branding.
  • Building talent pipelines for critical and leadership positions.
  • Developing recruiting metrics that improve quality, efficiency, and long-term hiring success.
  • Positioning Lafayette Federal as an employer of choice within the financial services industry and the communities we serve.

Talent Management

You will lead the evolution of Lafayette Federal's talent management practices, including:
  • Workforce planning
  • Performance management
  • Talent reviews
  • Succession planning
  • Career pathing
  • Employee engagement
  • Employee experience

You will help ensure the organization has the right people in the right roles today while preparing the next generation of leaders for tomorrow.

Organizational Partnership

Success in this role requires strong collaboration across the organization.

You will partner closely with leaders to understand workforce needs, strengthen organizational capability, and build practical talent solutions that support business objectives.

You will work alongside:
  • The Vice President of HR Operations to align talent strategies with compensation, employee relations, payroll, and HR operations.
  • The Vice President of Learning & Development to translate organizational capability needs into meaningful leadership and professional development programs.
  • Leaders throughout the Credit Union to strengthen workforce planning, employee engagement, and leadership readiness.
