Responsibilities

  • Draft detailed reports summarizing loan applicants' strengths and weaknesses for credit decisions.
  • Recommend loan risk ratings based on thorough analysis.

  • Manage special projects as assigned by the Chief Credit Officer.

Overview

The Senior Credit Analyst’s primary responsibilities include analyzing the financial information of persons or companies to determine creditworthiness and performing ongoing monitoring of borrowers to assess the risk of default and make informed lending decisions.

 

This position is located in office at our Corporate Headquarters in Oak Creek, WI.

 

Compensation: $85,000+ depending on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Working collaboratively with TCNB commercial loan officers, collect data from existing and potential borrowers, determine appropriate loan structures and highlight appropriate questions and additional information that the bank may seek before considering approval.
  • Evaluating clients’ credit data and financial statements to determine the risk involved in lending money to them.
  • Evaluating the financial status of clients by producing financial ratios using software tools.
  • Preparing clear and well-supported reports summarizing the strengths and weaknesses of loan applicants and providing a recommendation to the approving officer or Senior Loan Committee.
  • Recommend appropriate loan risk ratings.
  • Assist in ongoing monitoring of individual commercial loan relationships and portfolio risk.
  • Provide training and effective mentorship to junior-level credit analysts.
  • Take on special projects as assigned by the Chief Credit Officer.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree: Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Economics or other related field.
  • 4+ years’ experience as a Credit Analyst or similar position such as Commercial Loan Officer or Portfolio Manager.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor, personal integrity and an understanding of fiduciary responsibility.
  • Experience training and supervising credit analysts.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Self-motivated, curious, confident, detail-oriented, and analytical.
  • Knowledge of applicable banking regulations, bank policies, and practices.
