Summary
The Vice President, Revenue Cycle, Patient Access is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for all enterprise front-end revenue cycle functions across Sanford Health. This role leads the development, implementation, and optimization of processes that ensure a seamless patient financial experience while supporting organizational goals related to access, revenue integrity, operational efficiency, and financial performance.

Job Description
As a member of the enterprise revenue cycle leadership team, this leader works collaboratively with peer executives and cross-functional partners to ensure alignment across the full revenue cycle continuum. The Vice President is expected to lead with an enterprise mindset, drive standardization, reduce operational variation, support innovation, and advance strategies that improve performance across a large, complex health system.

Provides enterprise leadership and strategic direction for front revenue cycle functions, including patient access operations, registration, scheduling optimization, insurance verification, pre-registration, financial clearance, price transparency, upfront collections, and authorization processes.

Develops and executes strategies to improve the patient financial experience while ensuring efficient and accurate capture of demographic, insurance, and financial information.

Leads standardization and optimization efforts across regions, markets, clinics, hospitals, and service lines to create consistent and scalable revenue cycle processes.

Partners with revenue cycle peers, clinical operations, finance, technology, compliance, and payer strategy leaders to identify opportunities, remove barriers, and improve end-to-end revenue cycle performance.

Establishes operational goals and performance metrics focused on improving access, reducing preventable denials, increasing automation, improving productivity, and enhancing financial outcomes.

Advances technology, analytics, automation, and process improvement initiatives that support operational excellence and organizational sustainability.

Develops and mentors revenue cycle leaders, building leadership capability, workforce engagement, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred.

Extensive progressive leadership experience within healthcare revenue cycle operations, patient access, healthcare finance, or related operational areas required. Experience leading within a large, complex, multi-site healthcare system preferred.

Must demonstrate strong executive leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, change leadership, financial acumen, operational discipline, and the ability to influence across diverse stakeholder groups.
