Full Job Description
As the Vice President of Quality and Safety, you will provide visionary leadership for both organizations, ensuring the highest standards of quality across all products and processes globally.

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations - with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelor's in related field (Quality, Safety, Engineering, etc.)
  • 18+ yrs exp. in Quality and/or Safety (10+ yrs in leadership)
  • Relevant exp. may substitute for degree; w/o degree, 22+ yrs Quality/Safety exp. req.
  • Higher degree may substitute for exp.
  • Leadership acumen; strategic partner to execs; collaborate with leaders; contribute to leadership committees. Successful candidate will engage frequency, clearly and consistently with the workforce across multiple sites.
  • Executive leadership experience in manufacturing, operations, and/or sustainment.
  • Skilled at KPI creation & analysis, data synthesis, reporting/presenting
  • Direct aviation/aerospace operations & product manufacturing experience (Quality & Safety focus)
  • Expert in ISO 9001/AS9100, CMMI, & Safety standards/regulations
  • Experience with QMS & SMS (ISO, Six Sigma, Safety Mgmt, etc.)
  • Experience with governance frameworks for Quality & Safety
  • Experience leading Quality/Safety guidelines, protocols, audits, controls, compliance
  • Experience representing Quality/Safety conformance to regulatory standards (FAA/ASTM/OSHA/DCMA etc.)
  • Proven leadership in change management, mentoring, dev., training, succession, accountability, reviews (Quality & Safety teams)
  • Proven team building, time management, conflict resolution, comms, briefing, presentations, strategy (Quality/Safety)
  • Strong written/verbal comm. skills (Quality & Safety issues)


Qualifications We Prefer
  • Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification
  • CMQ/OE, CQIA, CQA certification
  • Experience in supply chain quality oversight
  • Ability to manage change, ambiguity, and own decisions
  • Mastery: innovation, team leadership, collaboration, challenging status quo, complex mgmt, delegation, adaptability
  • Passion for ideation, curiosity, innovation; motivate with vision
  • Background: aerospace/defense, DoD (civilian), US military; knowledge of defense, intelligence, adjacent markets (Quality/Safety)

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $254,731.83 - $350,256.28. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
