Position: Vice President, Operations Excellence - Delivery & Implementation

About the Role

We are seeking a Vice President of Operations Excellence - Delivery & Implementation to lead enterprise-wide system and process transformation initiatives across our organization. This role is responsible for delivering complex cross functional technology implementations, driving system consolidation, new platforms, and establishing standardized operating and support models that enable scalable, cost-effective operations.

This executive will oversee a portfolio of concurrent transformation programs and partner closely with Operations Leaders, business and technology leaders to modernize core insurance platforms while ensuring disciplined execution and minimal business disruption.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the enterprise transformation delivery portfolio, including core system implementations and platform consolidation initiatives
  • Drive system rationalization efforts to reduce redundancy, modernize the technology stack, and achieve cost and efficiency targets
  • Oversee delivery of policy administration, claims, underwriting, billing, and workflow platforms
  • Establish standardized post-implementation business support models, including platform COEs and tiered support structures
  • Ensure strong program governance, risk management, vendor oversight, and executive reporting
  • Manage transitions from implementation to steady-state operations, including stabilization and adoption
  • Partner with business & operations leaders to support change management, training, and sustained adoption


Qualifications
  • 12+ years of experience leading large-scale technology and process transformation programs, including senior portfolio leadership roles
  • Deep Property & Casualty insurance expertise across underwriting, claims, policy administration, and distribution
  • Proven success delivering enterprise system implementations and consolidation initiatives
  • Experience with core insurance platform implementations such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, AIM, ImageRight, Surfyre, Clarion Door or similar industry platforms
  • Strong background in program governance, change management, vendor management, and operating model design
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced certifications (PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Prosci) preferred

The expected salary range for this position is $180,000 to $200,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level.
