Job Title: Vice President of Supply Chain Operations Reports to: Chief Operating OfficerPosition Summary The Vice President of Warehouse, Transportation and Facilities will have oversight of the entire operation including warehouse, drivers, building, and all facets of maintenance and facilities. They will have primary responsibility for strategic planning, tactical operations, financial budgets, inventory, throughput, and all metrics associated with the operation. The VP will work interdepartmentally with Finance, IT operations, Business Data, Advancement, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, Nutrition, Health, and Equity teams to ensure a quality work environment to support the mission to end hunger here. This is a highly collaborative role working with all aspects of the organization.
Role & Responsibilities- Set performance expectations to meet all Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
- Oversight of all facets of the warehouse operations including the inventory, safety, American Institute of Baking (AIB) standards, safety, security, maintenance, scheduling, IT tasks and operational efficiency standards, Standard Operating Processes (SOP), and basic foundations of receiving, selecting, and shipping in the entire facility. Oversight of all financial budgets, audits and all external partners and vendors.
- Manage the fleet and drivers including oversight of all strategic initiatives, budgets, safety components, and all contracts including fuel, equipment and oversight of all DOT standards and regulations.
- Oversight of the 117K square foot LEED Certified Building including the grounds, operations, maintenance, cleaning, AIB standards, USDA, City and State audits, BERDO agreements and all facets of the building. Oversee the budgets, vendors, contracts, safety, including capital expenditures, expansions, and all attributes to maintain and protect the facility and team GBFB.
- Oversight of the Cross Dock operations and all 600+ partner agencies including Memorandum of understanding- (MOU) with all facets of the operation.
- Maintain communications within all areas of the business to provide customer support relative to scheduling, preparation, and dissemination of relevant information and updates in a timely fashion.
- Directly manage 4 direct reports, Warehouse, Transportation, Inventory and Agency Relations associates, providing mentorship, training, and development opportunities. Along with direct reports, have oversight to cover for the Chief Operating Officer and manage 75% of the team.
- Publicly represent GBFB through internal and external engagement opportunities, sharing the critical aspects of the mission.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies in logistics and supply chain management.
- Proven experience in logistics network design and optimization.

Skills & Qualifications - Bachelor's degree is required with preference on an advanced degree.
- Strong Business and Financial Acumen.
- 20+ years demonstrated work experience in customer service and solid performance in a lead role in supply chain and logistics required.
- Must be available to participate in external events as needed; some flexible hours may be required.
- Available to work occasionally evenings and weekends, ability to travel to participate in Feeding America meetings.
- Genuine appreciation of GBFB's mission and the ability to communicate it.
- Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and communication skills including public speaking and group training.
- Ability to lead in both a strategic and tactical manner while providing guidance and specific direction on an individual basis.
- Excellent customer service skills and professionalism.
- Proven ability to work in a collaborative environment as a strong team leader.
- Strong project management and logistical skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Salesforce, NetSuite, AGI, or other warehouse/transportation management systems.
- Ability to prioritize, be initiative-taking, have knowledge, insight to solve both tactical and strategic initiatives.
- Must be comfortable representing GBFB in a positive professional manner in various arenas.
- Diligence and ability to quickly adapt to evolving needs within the entire production process is essential.
- Ability to be flexible while balancing competing priorities in a challenging environment and ability to meet all deadlines.

Work Environment - The job is primarily performed indoors in a traditional office or warehouse setting.
- The job is occasionally performed indoors in the Warehouse with exposure to outside weather temperatures as well as potentially working in the refrigerated or freezer areas.
Work Location- Hybrid: This role follows a hybrid schedule working in accordance with GBFB's hybrid work policy on the team's designated days. This schedule is subject to change based on the organization's mission to end hunger.
