Job Summary:

The VPO is responsible for leading all aspects of manufacturing operations, supply chain, and materials management. This executive role ensures operational excellence through strategic planning, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. The VPO plays a critical role in achieving performance goals, driving productivity, and fostering a culture of accountability and innovation. As a key member of the leadership team, this position contributes to the overall direction of the business and maintains strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

What you will do:

  • Lead manufacturing operations including production, supply chain and materials.
  • Develop and execute CAPEX and productivity plans aligned with business goals.
  • Drive performance metrics including on-time delivery, first pass yield, inventory levels, and sales per head.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, open communication, and concurrent manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with engineering, sales, and customers to deliver innovative, cost-effective, and producible solutions.
  • Ensure technical support for production processes with accurate tools, equipment, and documentation.
  • Establish plant performance targets and monitor progress against objectives.
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets and track expenditures.
  • Promote teamwork and cooperation across departments and functional groups.
  • Provide mentorship and development opportunities for high-potential employees.
  • Maintain flexibility and responsiveness in a dynamic aerospace environment.

Physical Requirements:

Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person, over the telephone, and in office setting.

Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly in person, over the telephone, and on the production floor.

Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including visual examination of manufactured parts and reading information from printed sources and computer screens. Must be able to work on a computer for long periods of time.

Other: Requires frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to 20 pounds unassisted, including assisting co-workers when required. Adequate physical ability including sufficient manual dexterity to perform the requisite manufacturing duties. Requires frequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting and sitting, with some heavy lifting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift.
