Full Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
VP Gas Applications plans, directs, manages, and implementsthe gas applications strategies to grow application equipment and bulk andpackaged industrial and specialty gases and chemicals sales to achieveMatheson's revenue, profitability, and quality objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Lead a team of application specialists, engineers,manufacturing, and service personnel with direct responsibility for supportingapplication needs of bulk, packaged, and spec gas BUs and Matheson's customers
Direct technical and commercial aspects of gas applicationdevelopment, application equipment and services technical sales, andapplication design and engineering, equipment manufacturing, and relatedservices
Direct application equipment manufacturing operations,including budget requirements, finished equipment and parts inventory, and costcontrols. Consolidate product lines and computerize spare parts inventory toimprove quoting process for equipment and parts, standardize on parts, reduceparts inventory, and consolidate materials suppliers to improve bargainingpower and reduce cost.
Improve safety, productivity, and profitability ofmanufacturing operation by promoting safe work practices and growing in-houseequipment engineering and manufacturing capabilities to reduce outsourcing andexpand range of available equipment. Reduce overtime of manufacturing andservice personnel by improving production and field work planning.

Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to promoteMatheson's application capabilities within Matheson and with customers,including developing website content, customer presentations, sales brochures,and application training packages
Direct and perform application equipment and associatedservices product management, collaborate with business teams to ensurecompetitive and profitable equipment and services pricing, prepare technicaland commercial equipment sale and lease proposals
Stay informed about trends and innovations in industrialgases industry and industries we serve, define and lead innovation and newapplication and product development, actively participate in and support NSHDR&D and new application and technology development effort.
Recruit, coach, mentor, train, manage, and evaluate staffperformance

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor's & Master Degree BS in Chemical, Mechanical,or Industrial Engineering. Advanced degree preferred.
