Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic projects and growth initiatives from concept through implementation.
  • Partner with executive leadership to align strategic initiatives and facilities/fleet operations with organizational goals.
  • Direct real estate strategy, portfolio management, site selection, acquisitions, lease negotiations, and construction projects.
  • Oversee capital projects, facility improvements, and organizational infrastructure investments, including budgeting and vendor management.
  • Manage facilities and fleet operations across multiple locations, ensuring assets are safe, compliant, and well-maintained.
  • Provide oversight of contracts, due diligence, negotiations, and risk management related to real estate and construction.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to drive successful execution of organizational priorities.

Are you a strategic leader who can identify opportunities, lead complex initiatives, and help shape the future of our organization?

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is actively searching for a strategic, innovative, and results-driven executive to join our leadership team as Vice President of Facilities and Asset Management. This role is responsible for driving organizational growth through the development and execution of new ventures, real estate strategy, capital projects, and facilities operations.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who can balance long-term strategic planning with hands-on project execution. In this role you will identify growth opportunities, lead complex initiatives, oversee real estate and construction projects, and ensure our facilities and physical assets support organizational success.

This position is aligned with LifeSouth's Headquarters in Gainesville, Florida; however, candidates may reside anywhere within the organization's service area, with regular travel to headquarters and operational locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to)
  • Lead strategic projects and growth initiatives from concept through implementation, identifying opportunities that expand organizational impact, operational effectiveness, and revenue generation.
  • Partner with executive leadership to align strategic initiatives, real estate decisions, and facilities/fleet operations with organizational priorities and long-term objectives.
  • Direct real estate strategy, portfolio management, site selection, acquisitions, lease negotiations, and construction projects, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Oversee capital projects, facility improvements, and organizational infrastructure investments, including budgeting, planning, vendor management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage facilities and fleet operations across multiple locations, ensuring assets are safe, compliant, well-maintained, and positioned to support operational success.
  • Provide oversight of contracts, due diligence activities, negotiations, and risk management related to real estate, construction, and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration among operational, support, and executive teams to drive successful execution of organizational priorities.
  • Communicate project progress, financial impacts, risks, and recommendations to executive leadership while leading and developing assigned team members.

Additional Requirements
  • Requires continuous availability after hours for on-call, except when on approved leave (PTO)
  • This position works varied hours, including nights and weekends
  • Travel is essential to this position
  • Must have consistent and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience overseeing multi-site operations, real estate portfolios, or capital improvement programs.
  • Experience within healthcare, blood banking, nonprofit, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with ERP, asset management, or facilities management software.
  • Master's degree or advanced professional certification (e.g., PMP) preferred.


This is a full-time position. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Criminal background check and drug screen required upon conditional offer of hire.
