Vice President of Engineering and Manufacturing to guide our structural, geotechnical and manufacturing team.

As Vice President of Engineering & Manufacturing, you will be responsible for:

Leadership & Team Development
  • Build, lead and develop a high-performing engineering and manufacturing team by attracting, and retaining exceptional talent.
  • Develop team through coaching, feedback, mentorship and meaningful opportunities for growth.
  • Set clear expectations and performance goals while giving team members the support and autonomy they need to succeed.
  • Ensure that vision and direction for the team connect to Supportworks broader business goals.

Product Development & Manufacturing
  • Collaborate to research, evaluate, and innovate new product offerings and optimize existing product offerings.
  • Bring engineering, manufacturing, field technicians and external partners together to test and validate products. Develop supporting documentation, including evaluation reports.
  • Partner with manufacturing locations to ensure consistent product quality while improving efficiency and product cost management.

Technical Support, Resource Development, Training & Presentations
  • Provide technical expertise to internal teams and consult with customers on applications and solutions.
  • Create technical, sales, and marketing resources to promote products and services.
  • Deliver training, presentations, and insights to educate team and internal stakeholders as well as customers, engineers and specifiers.

Commercial Services & Support Leadership
  • Build strong, authentic relationships with customers and industry partners.
  • Develop strategy and vision for commercial sales.
  • Drive meaningful KPIs and financial goals for the team.

Education, Experience and Additional Skills
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license(s)
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience in Structural or Geotechnical Engineering
  • Proven Leadership: Experience leading engineering or technical teams, with a track record of casting vision, driving accountability, and inspiring excellence
  • Technical Expertise: A strong engineering background with experience in product development and/or technical support, with an in-depth knowledge of residential and commercial building construction. Must be proficient in modeling software (AutoCAD, Inventor) and have expertise in steel and concrete.
  • Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal skills to cultivate strong connections with team, customers, and external partners
  • Presentation Skills: Confidence in delivering presentations and training sessions
  • Problem-Solving Ability: A proactive, solution-oriented approach to solving problems and communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
