Responsibilities

  • Oversee engineering functions and manage internal and external resources
  • Direct industrial engineering efforts with a focus on cost reduction and continuous improvement
  • Manage the operation of all kilns
  • Evaluate proposed projects, documenting effectiveness post-completion
  • Prioritize engineering projects considering current constraints and executive input
  • Supervise all engineering projects until completion
  • Lead the estimating department to meet established quotation goals
  • Supervise the IT department and enhance computerized work systems

Full Job Description
Education and experience requirements: These requirements are at the discretion of the Chief
Executive Officer but generally include a 4 year degree.

Duties:
  • Oversee the engineering functions of the company and manage both internal and outside resources as required and prioritized.
  • Oversee industrial engineering efforts emphasizing cost reduction analysis and continuous improvement projects.
  • Oversee operation of all kilns.
  • Oversee the identification, development and periodic review of facility management activities in accordance with continuous improvement goals, or as necessary and required.
  • Responsible for the evaluation of proposed projects (i.e., ROI) including written documentation of the effectiveness of all facility and process changes after project completion.
  • Responsible for prioritizing projects in accordance with existing constraints involving executive management as required.
  • Supervise engineering projects to completion.
  • Supervise estimating department ensuring quotations are completed as per departmental established goals.
  • Supervise I.T. Department. Evaluates and approves all I.T. projects. Works with I.T. Director to maintain and improve computerized work system.
  • Responsible for coordinating periodic update of the costing system involving executive management as required.
  • Member of management review team.
  • Authorized as an officer of the company to execute legal documents on behalf of the company.

May be assigned any other miscellaneous duties as required by the QA Manager and/or executive management.
