Summary

The Vice President acts as a senior leader and strategic consultant for healthcare and life sciences clients. This role leads the client service team, fosters client retention and satisfaction, and guarantees the effective provision of risk management and insurance services for complex healthcare organizations.

The VP partners with clients, carriers, Producers, and internal teams to compose long-term client strategies. They lead renewal and marketing initiatives and pursue opportunities to strengthen client relationships and increase services. As the leader of the Healthcare Client Service team, this person guides, mentors, and leads Account Executives, Account Managers, and Coordinators. They support a culture of collaboration, responsibility, and excellent service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Healthcare & Life Sciences leadership to jointly lead the client service team and promote strategic objectives for the practice.
  • Act as a senior relationship manager and reliable consultant for complex healthcare and life sciences clients.
  • Support the growth, mentoring, and coaching of Account Executives, Account Managers, and other client service professionals.
  • Drive client retention, happiness, and organic growth through proactive relationship management and consultative service.
  • Coordinate renewal, marketing, and service strategies for key accounts while ensuring outstanding client outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Producers and practice leaders to identify growth opportunities and support new business initiatives.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with carrier partners, industry collaborators, and executive-level client contacts.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship regarding market trends, regulatory developments, emerging risks, and industry guidelines.
  • Champion operational excellence, collaboration, and a customer-focused culture throughout the Healthcare & Life Sciences practice.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proven leadership experience managing effective client service teams.
  • Positive relationship management, consultative selling, and client retention skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of healthcare and life sciences risk management and insurance programs.
  • Executive presence with outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • Strong business insight, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to influence collaborators and build positive relationships across all levels of an organization.

Education and Experience
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • 8+ years of commercial insurance, healthcare, life sciences, or risk management experience.
  • Proven history of guiding client service teams and managing complex client relationships.
  • Experience supporting revenue growth, client retention, and strategic account management initiatives.
  • Licenses & Certifications
  • Property & Casualty Insurance License required.
  • CIC, CPCU, ARM, or other industry designation preferred.

The base salary range for this position is $166,000 - $208,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
