Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and support to the management team across all business areas and revenue streams

  • Facilitate plant tours for current and prospective shareholders

Full Job Description
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for providing direct leadership and support to the management team, which represents all functional areas of the business, and all revenues streams globally including Rentals, Pumps, Units, and Parts/Tools/Accessories
  • Ensure the management team is sufficiently staffed, positioned and supported to achieve the short and long-range business strategy, performance goals and tactical execution of annual operating plans
  • Develop and execute on multiple year strategic plans and annual operating plans covering new product development, all P&L elements, balance sheets, capital spending, cash flow and inventory plans
  • Develop, implement, monitor and report on action plans to shore up resources or gaps that are required to achieve business objectives
  • Clearly communicate key business strategies and plans to stakeholders and implement change management principals to effectively lead through change when required
  • Serve as the champion of all Lean Enterprise and 80/20 initiatives to ensure organizational capability is developed, projects are defined and executed to improve the ability to deliver quality and product performance to customers on schedule, while creating profitable growth.
  • Oversee all Compliance, Quality Systems and maintain manufacturing standards consistent with all certification and re-certification requirements
  • Directly participate in the development and execution of supply base integration strategies, including participation in all ESG/FSC initiatives
  • Serve as a public spokesperson for the business with customers, dealers and at various public meetings
  • Lead the monthly all employee meetings to create leadership visibility, ensure organizational alignment to achieve strategic initiatives, and ensure that communication lines are in place across the team
  • Partner with HR on talent management, HR planning and employee relation issues as required
  • Lead the annual Talent Review process to ensure proper management action is taken that supports succession planning
  • Support the company's Enterprise Risk Management process and the development of its Long-Term Financial Model, which utilizes data from the Strategic Business Plan (SBP) and annual operating plan
  • Support Investor Relations initiatives by facilitating plant tours for current or prospective shareholders
  • Spend time with customers and direct sales teams in the field to understand competitive market trends and ensure the company anticipates and leverages shifts in the competitive landscape
  • Manage the performance of direct reports and implement career development plans as required
  • Ensure compliance with all required legislation and company policies including environmental, employment, safety
  • Act as a goodwill ambassador for Corporate with local management team/employees, including (i) delivering Corporate messaging, (ii) identifying opportunities for Corporate to engage with local team at events/activities, and (iii) providing feedback to Corporate from local team, as needed
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 20%

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field required
  • MBA preferred or, direct experience managing a manufacturing plant may be considered in lieu of MBA
  • Requires 10+ years of experience in the areas of Operations, Product Engineering, Finance, Purchasing, Materials, Quality Systems and Human Resources in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in managing multiple levels of customer relationships in a dealer environment considered an asset
  • Previous experience in Sales, Marketing and Information Technology is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate sound interpretation of financial documentation and associated analysis
  • Experience in manufacturing planning and sales cyclicality required
  • Knowledge of Heavy Equipment Systems (hydraulics, electrical, pneumatics, engines, etc.) preferred
  • Very proficient in business systems including Microsoft Office and manufacturing software
