JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary

This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for leading Tektronix’s global marketing function, driving strategy, execution, and performance across all regions.

The Vice President, Global Marketing leads a globally distributed organization across demand generation, product and portfolio marketing, digital marketing, brand, and marketing operations. This role is accountable for building a strong marketing engine that drives customer engagement, strengthens market positioning, and contributes to business growth across complex technical markets.

Reporting to the Chief Product and Marketing Officer, this leader partners closely with Product, Sales, and regional leadership to ensure alignment between product strategy, customer needs, and go-to-market execution.

Success in this role requires a leader who can operate at both the strategic and execution levels—setting direction while driving consistent, high-quality execution across a global organization serving technical and engineering-focused customers.

 

Responsibilities

  • Set global marketing strategy aligned to business priorities, customer needs, and regional growth plans
  • Lead a globally distributed marketing organization with clear ownership, capability development, and performance expectations
  • Drive demand generation and pipeline contribution in partnership with Sales, with disciplined focus on funnel performance and conversion
  • Strengthen Tektronix’s brand, market positioning, portfolio messaging, and value propositions across technical customer segments
  • Direct global marketing budget spend to maximize business impact and ROI
  • Oversee all marketing programs, including product marketing, digital marketing, campaigns, launches, events, brand, and communications
  • Advance digital marketing capabilities across web, content, customer engagement, analytics, and marketing operations
  • Use clear metrics and analytics to manage performance, prioritize resources, and improve marketing effectiveness
  • Align global and regional marketing execution while enabling local market relevance
  • Partner with Product, Sales, and Engineering to translate strategy into focused execution

 

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, including global scope
  • Proven leadership of global marketing organizations across multiple regions (Americas, EMEAI, APAC)
  • Strong track record of driving demand generation, pipeline growth, and measurable business impact
  • Experience in B2B, industrial, test and measurement, or other complex technical environments preferred
  • Fluency in digital marketing, analytics, and modern marketing practices
  • Strong commercial acumen with ability to align marketing strategy and budgets to revenue outcomes
  • Track record of building high-performing teams and developing organizational capability
  • Strong executive presence, communication skills, and leadership effectiveness
  • Willingness to travel as required to support global teams and business needs
  • Preference for on-site/hybrid at Tektronix headquarters in Beaverton, OR but will accept remote applicants
