Full Job Description
Primary Purpose: To provide oversight to the finances and facility operations of Connie Maxwell Children's Ministries (CMCM), and to ensure CMCM is acting as good stewards of its resources, in order to provide the best care possible for children and families in Jesus' name.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Manages all financial aspects of CMCM, which includes all accounting functions.
  2. Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including but not limited to income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
  3. Manages the Endowment of CMCM.
  4. Coordinates and prepares the organization's annual budget.
  5. Provides quarterly financial reports to VPs regarding their areas of responsibility.
  6. Provides the Board of Trustees and Executive Council with financial information as requested.
  7. Assists in preparing information for CMCM Annual report.
  8. Provides oversight to Facility Operations which includes Maintenance, Grounds, and Environmental Services.
  9. Provides oversight to Maxwell Farms operations and programming for children at the farm.
  10. Provides oversight for the Food Distribution Center operations.
  11. Participates as an active member of the Executive Council.
  12. Support achievement of organizational goals and annual performance objectives.
  13. Provides leadership and support for agency-wide initiatives and special projects.
  14. Regularly participates in campus activities, donor engagement opportunities, ministry events, and special programs.
  15. Provides staff support to the Finance/Business Operations/Human Resources Committee of the Board of Trustees and assists the Chair of the committee in developing agendas and maintaining minutes of the meetings.
  16. Provides necessary financial and organizational information to maintain accreditation by the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA).
  17. Serves on organizational committees and leadership teams as assigned.
  18. Supports achievement of annual organizational performance measures, including "Gold Star" objectives, by aligning with the vision, mission, and values of CMCM.
  19. Serves as a CMCM community ambassador, seeking ways to build lasting partnerships.
  20. Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Business, Accounting, or related field required; Master's degree is preferred.
  • CPA or CMA is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing Accounting, Finance, Facilities & Operations.
  • High level knowledge of accounting and finance principles and practices.
  • Knowledge and experience in budget planning and budget process.
  • Knowledge of non-profit organizations and how one operates.
  • Knowledge of facility operations/services management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to negotiate on behalf of CMCM.
  • Excellent leadership and relational skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.
  • Knowledge of Southern Baptist churches and culture.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to keep absolute and complete confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when ministry needs require.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under stress.
  • Frequent interaction with children, families, staff, community partners, and stakeholders.
  • Occasional statewide and regional travel required.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
