Description

The Financial Institutions Group is responsible for growing and servicing the relationships of our client firms. The day to day business includes expanding home-office relationships, growing shelf space, and establishing our brand at the Broker Dealers with whom we engage. The team works to grow our Solutions business while supporting the distribution of our various affiliates. This role strategically and tactically develops and maintains key account relationships with designated firms and will have a specific focus on LPL Financial. This is a hybrid position located in our Boston, MA office.

What you will do:

  • Act as a proactive sales representative for the Company in seeking additional business at assigned accounts.
  • Develop and maintain strategic key relationships with program managers/gatekeepers for mutual funds, separate accounts, and other platforms at assigned firm(s).
  • Develop and execute business plans for assigned accounts resulting in increased assets, revenue and market share.
  • Obtain and disseminate firm intelligence to field sales and home office resulting in improved sales execution.
  • Create and implement new innovative product solutions and marketing strategies for assigned firms.
  • Coordinate all marketing, sales and support services for the assigned accounts and anticipate and resolve more sophisticated problems.
  • Continually work to improve product placement and visibility at assigned accounts on behalf of the Company.
  • Liaise between Legal, Product Management and Marketing for issues affecting assigned firm(s).
  • Lead affiliate relationships on behalf of assigned account(s).


What you will bring:

  • Ten years of successful key account / wholesaling experience with a specialization in LPL Financial.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • FINRA SIE, Series 7 and 63 licenses (or equivalent) required. Other advanced industry related designations will be viewed favorably.
  • Must have an in-depth knowledge of retail mutual funds products, separate account marketplace and investment industry in general.
  • This individual must have proven relationships with key decision makers at designated firm(s).
  • Strong sales abilities are required evidenced by a track record of increasing new business at both existing and developing relationships at prospective key accounts.
  • Self-starter who can operate in a highly team-oriented and collaborative environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and verbal skills, and the ability to use them effectively across and at all levels within the organization, are critical for success in this role.
  • Ability to be adaptive to changes in business focus, willing to assume new duties to further firm initiatives.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel is at least 50% of time.
  • Knowledge of compliance issues and distribution contracts viewed favorably.


In accordance with the Massachusetts Wage transparency act, the expected annual compensation target, which includes base salary and commissions for this Boston, MA, based position is $202,500 - $385,000. Actual annual compensation targets may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, commissions earned, and other job-related factors. However, annual compensation, if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include variable compensation and other Natixis sponsored benefit programs.
