Full Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Establish and maintain financial recordkeeping and reporting system(s) that meet defined deadlines and accurately reflect the performance of the Company. Advise senior department managers of appropriate actions required to improve financial performance. Provide direction to Finance personnel. Develop and enforce policies that affect all levels of the organization and meet corporate objectives and applicable legal regulations. Participate with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives for the Company.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Work on complex problems of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires in depth evaluation of various factors to develop effective solutions.
  • Exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining optimal results for the Company.
  • Act as advisor and provide work direction to subordinate(s) to meet schedules, resolve technical problems and/or improve operations.
  • Develop and administer schedules and performance requirements.
  • Ensure budgets and schedules meet corporate objectives.
  • Erroneous decisions could have long term impact on Company's success.
MAJOR TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
  • Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the accounting systems and all financial reporting for Elma Americas
  • Responsible for treasury functions
  • Responsible for all financial reporting (internal, external, government, audit)
  • Responsible for assuring compliance with all direct and indirect tax matters
  • Coordinate with outside consultant to ensure adequate insurance coverage
  • Sets policies and procedures for all financial matters
  • Participates in and contributes to the Executive Management team planning and decision making that affects profitability and operations of the Company
  • Responsible for all financial data, payroll and taxes and timely filing of all required returns
  • Coordinates planning process and produces periodical plan/actual comparisons
  • Manages Finance, departments
  • Completes special assignments as assigned
  • Develops budget and forecasts from input received from all functional areas
  • Directly interface with corporate senior management
SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Intermediate to expert knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Familiar with ERP and Finance-related Information Systems
  • Proven leadership/management skills
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate suggested solutions to gain acceptance
  • Complete and thorough understanding of financial concepts and standards
  • Ability to pay attention to small details, analytical problem solving skills
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Sitting most of the time for brief or extended periods
  • Handling/grasping/gripping Both hands are utilized while performing various job duties including operating computer keyboard
  • Fine manipulation when utilizing writing tools and keyboarding
  • Additional physical requirements may include climbing while utilizing stairs to access the work area
  • Work is performed in an air conditioned/heated office environment
  • Travel may occur up to 10% of the time

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • CPA or equivalent required
