Job Title- Vice President, Director of Maintenance

Department- Elevate Jet

Reports to- EVP, Director of Operations, Elevate Jet

Location- Plano, TX.

Summary of position-

The Vice President of Maintenance will hold the FAA 119.69(a) Director of Maintenance responsibility for Elevate Jet's Part 145 Maintenance Repair Station (MRO), ensuring aircraft are ready for dispatch on time and coordinating AOG maintenance support during charter flights to minimize aircraft downtime and delays to customer schedules. Active thorough planning and communication is essential to success in this role.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities-
  • Support and provide guidance of the managed fleet and third party providers and partner with Elevate Jet leadership to fully leverage internal resources in support of managed clients
  • Develop and or deepen OEM and supplier relationships for the benefit of Elevate Jet and its managed clients
  • Leverage resources within EAG, networking, and marketing efforts to support growth and success within the organization
  • Support existing staff, attract and retain future talent against growth and and the needs of the business; including building "bench strength" to support future leadership roles
  • Oversees all maintenance planning, scheduling, and completion of aircraft inspections, repairs, and maintenance schedules for the Elevate Jet MRO ensuring regulatory compliance and use of industry best practices
  • Ensures compliance with applicable FAA and/or EASA regulatory requirements (as applicable) and oversees all maintenance documentation, including logbooks, maintenance records, and work orders, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance
  • Coordinates continuously with Flight Operations to support aircraft charter operations and establishes local maintenance support at remote locations to minimize aircraft downtime
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable FAA Regulations including Parts 43, 65, and 135 as well as company policies and procedures in all facets of the business
  • Serves as the primary contact point to the FAA Certificate Holding District Office and coordinates all recurrent audits and inspections
  • Provides regular fleet status reports to management and operations including maintenance status and MEL deferrals. Includes developing 30-day, 90-day and annual full maintenance forecasts and work scopes, obtaining shop quotes and schedules as requested, and coordinate with the customer to maximize aircraft availability and scheduling options


Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities-
  • Must be computer literate and knowledgeable of standard software as well as FlightDocs and CAMP maintenance software
  • Demonstrated experience on the fleet of aircraft we manage

Education & Experience-
  • FAA A&P License required with Inspection Authorization preferred
  • 10 years' experience in aircraft maintenance operations with at least 3 years' experience in FAA Part 145 leadership.
  • 3+ years experience with FAA Part 135 operations, Preferred
  • Fluency in English with a strong emphasis on writing to ensure proper and accurate aircraft maintenance record documentation. Must have excellent organizational skills.
  • High School diploma required

Schedule & Travel-
  • Standard business hours can be expected for this role, however due to the operational needs of the organization; nights, weekends, and holidays may be required
  • Position requires coordination with Flight Operations to establish maintenance support at remote locations.
  • Travel required to support maintenance operations and ensure work scope compliance with contracted work scopes.

Miscellaneous-
  • FLSA Status- Full Time Exempt
  • Much of each shift will be performed while standing or walking and includes reaching overhead, bending, and lifting of up to 50 pounds. Must have the ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
  • Position requires FAA-mandated drug employment screening.
