What you'll do...
  • Lead and manage the Health Plan Client Success team, establishing annual goals tied to retention, client satisfaction, growth, operational performance, and partner engagement.
  • Develop and implement Health Plan-specific client success processes, operating cadences, and business practices that support retention, expansion, renewal strategy, and escalated issue management.
  • Represent Progyny in executive-level health plan meetings, business reviews, partner discussions, and industry events to strengthen relationships, reinforce Progyny's value proposition, and support long-term strategic alignment.
  • Seamlessly articulate Progyny's value to health plan executives, strategic partners, consultants, operational stakeholders, and internal leaders; translate data-driven financial, clinical, utilization, and member experience insights into clear renewal, reporting, and growth narratives.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Product, Operations, Analytics, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Marketing to support health plan implementations, renewals, reporting needs, product adoption, market expansion opportunities, and resolution of partner-specific issues.
  • Help resolve member, client, and partner escalations routed through the Health Plan Client Success team; work with senior leaders and cross-functional partners to identify root causes, determine corrective actions, and develop clear communication plans.
  • Partner with senior leadership to build and manage a scalable Health Plan staffing model and team structure that supports portfolio complexity, growth expectations, service model evolution, and market needs.
  • Refine and operationalize a Health Plan partnership approach that clarifies relationship ownership, executive engagement, reporting standards, internal handoffs, service expectations, and success metrics.
  • Drive retention and growth within the existing Health Plan client and partner base by identifying expansion opportunities across populations, lines of business, geographies, products, services, and strategic use cases.

Leadership:
  • Guide, coach, and develop Client Success leaders and team members supporting Health Plan clients, ensuring they have the payer-market knowledge, consultative skills, operational discipline, and executive presence required to support complex strategic partnerships.
  • Propose and build, with Operational support, team infrastructure, playbooks, and operating cadences that support consistency, scalability, accountability, and strong cross-functional partnership across the Health Plan portfolio.
  • Create a culture of strategic client advocacy, business ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement while balancing client needs, operational realities, compliance considerations, and Progyny's business objectives.

About you...
  • 10+ years of leadership experience within healthcare, employer benefits, or insurance industries.
  • Experience building and managing a high-performing Health Plan client success, account management, strategic partnerships, or payer-facing team.
  • Experience working with health plans, payers, strategic channel partners, healthcare benefits organizations, or similarly complex enterprise healthcare relationships.
  • Strong understanding of payer stakeholder dynamics, including executive sponsors, account management, clinical, operations, product, compliance, reporting, and network-related teams.
  • Ability to translate complex operational, clinical, financial, utilization, and member experience data into clear executive-level insights and recommendations.
  • Strong commercial orientation with demonstrated success supporting retention, expansion, renewals, and strategic account growth.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for payer executives, internal leadership, consultants, cross-functional partners, and team members.
  • Strong relationship-building, executive presence, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence through credibility, collaboration, and clear business judgment.
  • Ability to identify, build strong relationships with, and effectively leverage internal and external resources to solve complex client and partner needs.
  • Ability to operate under pressure, manage ambiguity, prioritize competing responsibilities, and drive decisions in a fast-paced, evolving market segment.
