OverviewThe VP, Client Strategy owns portfolio growth, client outcomes, and team development across key accounts. They are able to drive enterprise relationships and market-led solution adoption to drive profitable revenue and measurable business impact. This leader sets the vision, scales cross-functional execution and serves as a senior client-facing advisor while building deep relationships across clients, partners, and internal teams.
ResponsibilitiesPortfolio Strategy & Execution- Build and execute a portfolio strategy with clear revenue, retention, and growth targets; track client health, performance, and scalability.
- Translate client and business requirements into operating models, enablement plans, and solution roadmaps that support profitable growth and consistent execution.
- Evangelize Client Strategy priorities internally and externally through thought leadership, executive engagement, and education that accelerates adoption and demand.
- Serve as a senior subject matter expert on client growth strategy; monitor market, industry, and partner trends and translate insights into action plans.
Client Growth & Excellence- Advise clients on program optimization using data insights, market trends, and category opportunities; create materials and presentations that translate strategy into action.
- Ensure rigorous forecasting and reporting on client performance, partnership health, and growth opportunities for leadership visibility and decision-making.
- Develop relationships with decision makers. Penetrate client orgs beyond affiliate contacts to engage stakeholders and secure buy-in for strategic initiatives and long-term investment.
Team Leadership & Operating Model- Own a high-performing Client Strategy team focused on client growth, retention, and strategic account planning.
- Implement efficient workflows across planning, delivery, reporting, escalation management, and financial processes.
- Create growth plans for team members to ensure their continued personal and professional development.
Cross Organization Collaboration- Partner with Media Investment and Global Operations leadership to align priorities and delivery to consistently meet client needs.
- Partner with Product and Data Science to inform scalable capabilities, reporting needs, and innovation priorities based on portfolio and client requirements.
- Drive cross functional collaboration with Product, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Global counterparts; capture and share best-practice knowledge.
Qualifications- 10-15+ years in client strategy, partnerships, account leadership, enterprise growth, or marketing/advertising technology; demonstrated success leading cross-functional, revenue-owning teams.
- Deep knowledge of online advertising, affiliate and partner marketing models, client growth levers, and partner business models; ability to explain technical and commercial concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proven experience scaling client portfolios, launching new offerings, improving operating models, and advocating across the industry through executive engagement, thought leadership, and partner collaboration.
- Executive presence with the ability to build senior leadership relationships across partners and clients; track record of complex deal orchestration.
- Broad category fluency across advertiser verticals, with the ability to identify market trends, portfolio risks, growth opportunities, and client-specific strategies that improve outcomes.
- Role is located in Agoura Hills or Santa Barbara.
Additional informationThis is a hybrid role requiring 3 days a week in office.
Compensation Range: USD $149,340.00 - USD $214,620.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. This role may also be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met.
