Job DescriptionVisa is seeking a Vice President, Client & Developer Experience Platforms to own the AI-first execution layer for Visa's client and developer ecosystem. This role leads the platforms that power onboarding, configuration, testing, and operation of Visa services including client admin portals, developer interfaces, and the underlying profile, configuration, policy, testing, and billing systems.
The role is accountable for ensuring programmable, human and agent-ready access that supports intent-based workflows, automation, and secure delegation in a regulated, global environment. Success is measured through faster time to value, trusted self-service, and reliable execution at scale.
This is a role for an AI-native, engineering-fluent platform leader with strong product strategy and design instincts, and cross-functional execution in a regulated, global environment. Design is a core requirement with emphasis on systems, agentic workflows, and platform leverage.
ResponsibilitiesPlatform Strategy & Delivery- Define and execute a multi-year strategy for Visa's client administration and developer platforms aligned to Visa's broader platform and network strategy.
- Establish a coherent and scalable platform vision across:
- Client administration and self-service workflows
- External developer portals and onboarding experiences
- Client profile, configuration, and entitlement management
- Client testing, sandbox, and certification platforms
- Translate business and client needs into durable platform capabilities, delivered incrementally and reused across products and regions.
Client Administration & Self-Service Platforms- Own the strategy and roadmap for client-facing administration platforms supporting onboarding, service configuration, credential management, and operational visibility.
- Drive consolidation and simplification of fragmented client workflows and front doors into standardized, scalable platforms.
- Expand capabilities from information discovery toward guided and automated execution, with appropriate controls and governance.
Developer Experience & External Platforms- Lead Visa's external developer ecosystem across portals, MCP servers, APIs, documentation, onboarding, sandboxes, and support.
- Ensure platforms are API-first, automation-ready, and compatible with modern developer environments, including IDEs and agent-based workflows.
- Improve discoverability, onboarding success, and time-to-first-value while meeting Visa's security and reliability standards.
Profile, Configuration & Testing Platforms- Own the underlying client profile and configuration platforms that enable service setup, parameter management, and behavioral controls.
- Modernize configuration workflows through improved validation, versioning, and change execution to reduce operational risk and client effort.
- Lead the evolution of client testing platforms, including self-service testing, automated validation, certification, and end-to-end testing capabilities.
- Ensure platforms scale across products, geographies, and regulatory contexts while remaining operable and auditable.
Billing & Commercial Enablement Platforms- Own shared billing and commercial enablement platforms, including usage metering, pricing constructs, billing execution, and reconciliation capabilities.
- Enable scalable and consistent commercial models across products while supporting BU-specific pricing strategies.
- Reduce manual intervention and client confusion through clearer billing workflows and improved data integrity.
AI-Enabled Platform Capabilities- Integrate AI into platform workflows including AI-assisted configuration, testing, documentation, and search.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure responsible AI adoption aligned with Visa's security, policy, and data governance standards.
Architecture, Governance & Cross-Functional Leadership- Partner closely with Technology, Cyber, Client Services, Design, Finance, and Architecture teams to define platform roadmaps and target-state architectures.
- Drive architectural consistency, platform reuse, and delivery models optimized for speed, safety, and scalability.
- Build and lead a high-performing global organization of product and design leaders operating with clear ownership and metrics-led prioritization.
Success Measures- Improved client and developer satisfaction with Visa platforms.
- Reduced time to onboard, configure, test, and certify Visa services.
- Increased adoption of self-service and automated workflows.
- Reduced operational overhead driven by manual intervention, configuration errors, or fragmented tooling.
- Scalable, secure platforms capable of supporting future use cases, including AI-enabled and agent-driven commerce.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications- 12 or more years of work experience with a bachelor's Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications- 15 or more years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, PhD).
- 15+ years of experience in product, platform, or technology leadership roles.
- Strong technical fluency, including APIs, distributed systems, and platform architecture.
- Experience owning large-scale client-facing or developer-facing platforms.
- Deep understanding of testing, certification, and quality platforms within CI/CD environments.
- Proven success leading complex, cross-functional global teams.
- Experience operating in regulated, high-availability environments.

Information for US Applicants :For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $235,700.00 to $ 412,200.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
